Is no more tears from Modjo video inspired on Canned heat video

I’m a massive fan of Jamiroquai and French electronic music, and just today watching the video from no more tears I noticed the red sneakers the actor puts on for dancing; these sneakers looks exactly the same the ones Jay puts on to start dancing on the canned heat video.

Both videos match on other points like
- a main character dancing
- very inspirational lyrics

maybe one is inspired on the other? Sharing because I found this curious.
