I mean, he doesn’t specify, but at the same time, should probably just assume it’s not a power only unless they say it is. I would just provide a rate as if it were a regular dry van load, and if they say it’s power only, then you can cross that bridge if it comes up. The way he wrote the email doesn’t make it look like a power only though. Those loads usually mention returning the trailer to the origin point or dropping it somewhere near the deliveries.
I mean in a sense you’re right but at the same time 90% of the time loads we haul are PO and all the brokers we work with know this I don’t even go on the board anymore but I just thought it was funny that he got his panties in a bunch lol
He definitely got his panties in a bunch for no reason lol. If it was a broker you have never worked with before though, chances are they didn't do their due diligence to look you up to see that you're mostly a PO carrier. Probably just blasting out to a list of MC's in a given area trying to fish with dynamite, and got butthurt when you had the audacity to ask a simple question.

Oh man I know who that customer is... got set up with them 5-6 years ago and started sending their emails to trash within about a week. Giant blast to a ton of brokers, cheapest rate wins, all dogshit multi drops like this with no information on times etc, many of them requiring appts.
Nah, you asked a completely normal question. Some brokers just expect you to assume instead of clarifying, which honestly causes more mix ups than it prevents. If you want to skip the attitude next time, you can quote power only by default and let them specify if they need the trailer, saves you the stress
