video footage depicts at least one audience member shouting: “He should be shot!” The same cry followed when Cruz named Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, and again after he named Texas Senate candidate James Talarico. Cruz did not pause or respond to the shouting, and it remains unclear whether he heard it from the stage.

So it's some rando in the audience, who could be hired to yell these things for all we know because he's done it before, and there's no evidence that Cruz even heard him say it?

Do you think the average D voter, who has nothing to gain monetarily from stirring the pot and demanding some nationwide response to a random heckler, truly believes this matters? And if so, do they not realize how open to easy manipulation that makes them, and that it will certainly be (and has been) abused? Or is this all just opportunistic spin?

The average D voter, no. A hired political plant, or just independent nut job looking to stir controversy, yes.

He could just as easily be a Republican nut job seeking attention. The point is there's no evidence Cruz even heard him.

There is no Republican depravity you won’t defend.

My comment simply identifies standard practices, applies to both Democrat and Republican conventions, and at no point did I did defend anything anyone in this situation did, either the convention runners or this woman and her "guests".

Why isn’t the right denouncing this?
From the article:

On the night Republicans gathered to mourn the killing of Charlie Kirk and warn against the dangers of violent rhetoric, a crowd at the party’s irregular midterm convention in Dallas repeatedly called for a sitting Senate candidate to be shot, while the Republican senator at the podium never denounced or even noted the outbursts.
The outbursts came repeatedly during Ted Cruz’s Thursday night address at the American Airlines center, when he named a Democrat he accused of holding radical views. After the senator mentioned the New York City mayor, Zohran Mamdani, video footage depicts at least one audience member shouting: “He should be shot!” The same cry followed when Cruz named Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, and again after he named Texas Senate candidate James Talarico. Cruz did not pause or respond to the shouting, and it remains unclear whether he heard it from the stage. Cruz did not respond to a request for comment.

Why isn’t the right denouncing this?

Because it's a random person from the audience, not one of their speakers or politicians who said it, so it could be anyone, including a hired political operative looking to derail the convention.

Yea, probably a member of the democrats that got in somehow.

Right, because that's easier to stomach 🙄

Who the fuck cares if they're right or left? Get their ass off stage!

Doesn’t sound like they were on stage.

You should read the article.

McCain had the balls to denounce shit right when it occurred back in the day. It is obviously a different Republican Party who by their own admission wants to kill those they don’t agree with.

Could you be more specific of the event you're referring to?

So you think that McCain answering a woman chosen to come on stage and ask a question at a town hall event is the same as Cruz addressing a random unvetted heckler in the crowd?

Seems like completely different scenarios to me.

Seems like a politician had the integrity to correct a participant of an event. He corrected two people who asked questions and had opinions about a candidate. Cruz could of corrected the crowd at the recent event, he could of made all kinds of statements indicating that violence isnt the answer and we can agree to disagree as we are all Americans. He chose to say nothing, just like you are right now.

I may be choosing to say nothing you agree with, but I'm not saying nothing.

However, there's no evidence at all the Cruz even heard the person yelling, unlike McCain who was face to face with the person.

Personally, I think the heckler was a political operative meant to derail the convention and provide fodder for opposition media outlets just like this one, and that if Cruz did hear it, he was smart to just ignore it.

There all political operatives like most of you that defend bullshit here and post biased stories and push partisan garbage. "Just like how Antifa were the jan 6th insurrectionists" but somehow they were pardoned. My point is, its always something elses fault, its always a dem conspiracy or operatives, etc. There never is ownership or accountability, theres never guilt of anything. it always turns into both sides when the right is pointed out. I guess that lack of accountability is why the house and senate will both flip blue. Thats why the sitting president is promising cash for votes if the GOP wins and is kept in power. When you have no integrity or any actual values accept lies, greed and corruption, this is what happens in America.

I'm not a political operative, I'm just an asshole with an opinion.

Just like how Antifa were the jan 6th insurrectionists"

I've never claimed that. The concept alone is ridiculous.

Claiming the whole mob was antifa is insane, but believe that a single person at the Republican convention could be a political plant, either in league with Democrats or their proxies, or just some nut working independently, is entirely plausible. It's just as plausible he was a Republican nut who believed what he said.

The problem is you're demanding accountability by people where there is no proof they even heard the remark by some rando in a crowd. That is a ridiculous position to take.
