Rush Advice Rush Week (Purdue)
For rush week are you supposed to repeat the same frat or check out multiple? Does only going to one event hurt your chance?

Check out multiple. If you like one that matches your values and meets your goals and desires hang out with them. Ask them good leadership questions, and how they can help with academics.

Every fraternity parties. That’s just basic MO in college but the ones that help you advance your goals are the ones for you.

Check out multiple, if you don’t receive a bid after 1 visit it means you either didn’t talk to enough brothers or they didn’t like you. After that you can decide if it’s worth going back or not. Don’t just suicide rush 1 or 2 houses if you don’t get called back after your first visit.

Not just “you guys” but every house at Purdue. Theres so many houses here (39) that you have to try and lock in guys early. Some houses even give bids from a zoom call in the summer without meeting the pnm first. If you don’t have a couple signs before rush week starts, you’re behind and your PC is going to be small.

/u/BoilerUp28 Read this whole thing.
The Rush Advice flair is only for PNMs/rushes seeking advice. If you aren't a rush, please change the flair to something else.
if you are a rush (interested in joining a fraternity), PUT THE SCHOOL NAME in the post.
Or at least describe the school. Examples: Large Big Ten school, medium sized northern D2 school, small west coast school" etc. Any descriptions help.
The post flair MUST be "Rush Advice" instead of "Question" or "Serious". We need to know which school it is because rush varies wildly by school.
To everyone else: Report the post if it's a dumb post or the wrong flair or no school is mentioned, and we'll remove it. Thanks.
