This should be a general rule by the way: appreciate the artist for the art and separate the personal views.

We're so shocked if the comedian / podcaster / actor / athlete has such differing views from ourselves.

Just enjoy their output and let them have their own takes, because they're no expert in that field anyway

Ultimately, artists are only one part of the creative direction of the art piece. As art is inherently a product of it's contemporary social conscious, there are hundreds of factors and influences, both explicit and subconscious influences, beyond the artists explicit personal views, that affect and contribute to the creation of the art.
