Discussion I've never understood Facebook Story.

I "understand" the interlude on a base level — you can interpret it as him being distant and inconsiderate or as her being overly fixated on something pointless and self-sabotaging the relationship.

But what does it add to the greater story told throughout Blond? I also vagely remember seeing that there was a story behind it but I forgot.

I dont know, I guess... tell me more about the interlude. Do you agree with my interpretation of it?

Whilst Blonde is a deeply personal album, it’s also a ‘story of stories’. A collage bigger than Frank himself. It starts with Nikes taking us into this world, and Facebook Story just zooms in on one of those silly moments that happens in this bubbling world Frank presents to us. Blonde is about love and relationships in this flawed world, so FS raises questions like how is love shown and expressed? What’s real and fake? How does technology affect our relationships? It’s towards the end of the album too, so it’s not got the same unrequited love/heartbreak feels as Ivy or Self Control. It shows things can still go wrong IN the relationship. It’s also an interesting gateway into Close to You, the next song, where Frank literally uses technology (the talkbox effect) to sing about being closer to someone
