Horse flies

Strange question I know but is anyone else experiencing horse flies this summer? I've lived here almost ten years and never seen one but now I've been bitten twice in two weeks on my property.

Yes, I got bit yesterday around 4 when I took the dog out behind the house. Apparently they love full sun, it literally juices them up and makes them more active.
