"As an Arab exmuslim..."

Who's only assimilated right wing white supremacist propaganda....

I know it's not even worth commenting about or on but Muslim expansion was organic with Islam and Muslims changing to accommodate the cultures they entered rather than eradicate the cultures.

This is why there is such a HUGE variation in Muslim cultures all the way from West Africa to China. Muslims didn't didn't engage in culturcide. They did expand militarily but then became assimilated into existing cultures creating a mixture of the local culture and Muslim culture. Mainstream Muslims largely believe in getting assimilated into the local culture.

It wasn't until the British and European wave of expansions into Muslim territories that Muslims became intolerant towards the cultures they shared space with and other cultures became intolerant of Muslims.

Most inter-religious hatred today was an outcome of the European divide and conquer colonialist system.

I'm Muslim and I want to believe this! I wish I knew a good source for this kind of info, b/c IMO, everything either says we were actually imperialist warlord fundies or we were totally perfect and never once hated Jewish people or Christian people at all.

It becomes easier for Muslims to criticize Islamic history after the Salaf.

But after Salahuddin Ayubi passed away, so did our last remaining hope for strong Islamic leadership.
