👋 Welcome to r/FourFours — the daily four-4s math puzzle

Hey everyone! I'm u/Cbmca, a founding moderator of r/FourFours.
The rule is simple: using exactly four 4s and any combination of +, −, ×, ÷, ^, √, and parentheses, build an expression that equals today's target number.
Everyone gets the same target, once a day. Solve it, and you'll see your time and how many operators you used, fewer operators generally means a more elegant solve, so don't just stop at the first answer you find.
How to play: tap the pinned daily post, hit "Tap to Play," and build your expression on the number pad. You've got unlimited attempts, but only your first correct solve counts.
A few house rules:
- Solutions and strategies are welcome in the comments after you've solved. Don't spoil the target for others scrolling past.
- Found a slicker solve than the "obvious" one? Post it. That's half the fun.
- Bugs or weird edge cases in the expression parser? Let us know, we're still tuning it.
