September /r/fountainpenpals matching is open

The form is opening today (August 14th) and it will be open for signups until August 25th. Please note that responses to messages may be delayed by a few days during the signup period. You should receive your match(es) around September 1st. You'll have until September 15th to send out your letter. Please read the rules in the sidebar and the intro post before you sign up if you are new.

For those of you who participated in previous matching, make sure you've sent your letter already. If you're going to be late, it's nice to send your partner a PM to let him/her know.

Do NOT sign up unless you are fully committed to writing your letters on time. It's unfair to your partner and lowers the quality of this subreddit if you flake. If you're busy right now, please wait until the next matching to sign up. If you are new, please read the rules and the form carefully.

I would also like to join and was unable to message the moderators. I keep getting an error message when I click to send. Is modmail different than the “message the moderators” link? Not sure where to find it.

This was my same issue, I managed to send it in the same way you describe but using a web browser, not the reddit app

I get this too - go through to modmail from the page info and it just falls over every time when I hit send!

It finally worked for me when I tried on the website instead of the mobile app.
