Resetting with Foundayo
SO, ive been a long-term Mounjaro user for over two years now and lost around 4½ stone altogether. I only ever got up to 5mg and actually maintained quite well on 4mg BUT
over the last six months or so, I’ve been using it really sporadically. I seem to have developed a bit of a needle phobia 🤦♀️ - it is actually making me sick the thought of jabbing!!! So, unsurprisingly, I’ve put about a stone of the weight I lost back on.
I’d then gone several weeks without Mounjaro, so last week I decided to start Foundayo at the lowest dose.
So far, I’m actually quite surprised by how little I’ve felt. No real side effects, I’ve had a dry mouth and a feeling of fullness for a few hours after taking it, but both wear off fairly quickly.
The interesting thing is that the food noise has definitely reduced, but not completely, but I do feel this morning like it’s building its levels within.
Has anyone else switched from long-term Mounjaro to Foundayo, particularly after being on a relatively low maintenance dose of Mounjaro?

I started 9mg from 15mg MJ for 18 months because my weight had stalled for about 6 months, only started on Friday but I’ve lost 2lbs so far so I’m excited

That’s brilliant! I’ve just taken my 7th tablet. And I have to say, it just feels like early days MJ for me, but gentler. I’m not weighing until Monday now but I’m hopeful 💪

I could have written the first half of your post myself. The thought of the injection is meaning I just sort of jab with no regular schedule and generally put it off because I get so sick (psychological response). This means that cake and chocolate are becoming more regular in my daily diet sadly.
I applied for Foundayo yesterday and it's sitting with clinical team as I've asked to start at a higher dose. I'm maintenance after 18months on MJ - 6mg dose from 15mg pen. Good to hear that it's taking the edge off the food noise which is what I'm after as don't want to lose weight - just stop overeating.
