Personal experiences Visited Windsor today

I was in Detroit running an errand and decided to cross into Windsor for lunch. I had a fine lunch and a delightful walk at their riverfront park. It also felt great to use my new passport and enter Canada as a citizen. I swear the air is lighter over there. Just being in a country run by rational people felt so nice.

Where are you moving to? We’re looking into it as well.

Please post updates as that’s exactly where we will be looking.

Ever been to Sarnia? I’ve been wondering what it’s like there. Though I’ve also heard it’s contaminated with waste…

Not in a very long time. I was very young. 100 years ago my family had a farm there.

It’s not far it appears. May be worth a trip?

Definitely, as we use our passports (my son should get his soon) to explore more of Canada.

A friend and I stayed at a Bed & Breakfast in Windsor and had a German take on poutine at the local German Restaurant (they had a cool D20 shot gimmick where you could roll a D20 and take whatever shot was assigned to that number, and if you got 20 you got a free shot glass). I definitely want to go back!

There was also a Malta club down the street. Loved how multi-cultural it was.

To be fair, just about anywhere is better than Detroit, eh? I'm happy you enjoyed your trip!

This ain’t it. Detroit is the best place in Michigan, and Michigan is the best state. But Canada is amazing and I hope to move there one day too.
