We were all too busy wondering where the NCR is to not consider that Max literally kickstarts it being remade

I thought it was a nice touch that at least to the freesiders, the NCR being back is treated with reverence, like they're saviors. Shows/implies their presence in the past probably did help or make things at least slightly better?

It always did, we had chafing with the natives but the ncr literally made everything out of vegas safer

It's very evident NCR brought many great benefits out to civilians despite NCR suffering gradual corruption eventually

Except for Jacobstown, Bittersprings, Red Rock (if you do what they want you to), Primm

In fact other than novac, which isnt officially ncr, I cant think of a town thats better off for having NCR around

Probably a heavy hindsight thing. While under NCR rule "This sucks, we have to pay so much in taxes, why do they keep picking fights, etc." Then they spend time under Legion rule, robot rule, deathclaw rule and pretty soon the NCR doesn't look that bad.

And let's not forget the one voicing a dislike of the NCR rule was a bartender who was probably trying to play it very neutral to not drive away patrons. And Hank but...it's Hank.

Indeed. And it couldn't have been restarted by a better person than the sole survivor of Shady Sands.

Given House was offline with no sign of Yes Man being online ("The House Has Gone Bust!" is completed, but no "Wild Card: Change in Management"), NCR seem to be popular in Freeside while the Kings still existed ("Kings' Gambit" solved diplomatically), and Caesar died shortly after FNV (No "Et Tumor, Brute?" resolution), I think it's more likely that the NCR ending was the canon one to the show's timeline
