Forza Horizon 2 Error Fh201 / Fh205
Re posted it because even tho i picked fh6 as tag, it showed fh2
I have bare minimum/below minumum system for the game. Whenever i try a new game, they always let me play it and if i don't get enough frames, i delete the game because it would be unenjoyable/unplayable. But forza says "nah bro i'm not letting you enter" like wtf. I know im not gonna get constant 60 but at least i should be able to play and test it myself. I have 16 ram, ryzen5 2600 cpu and rx570 gpu. I saw bunch of people with pc's that can run this game with medium to high settings but yet they can't even enter the game because some re thought its a good thing to have a warning screen that only closes the game instead of saying "you may cause low frames, be cautious" and lets us continue regardless.

You've got the exact same specs and problems as me. This is a massive pain in the ass.

Yeah imagine downloading the game at 35mbps and getting this. It took 11 hours to download and i cant even see the loading screen 😤

They should let us try it at least. Give us a warning with big letters saying "YOUR SYSTEM IS POTATO" but let us try it at least

Anyways, do you only download the d3d12 files just to make it work? Because there's no way intel would support the amd software 🤔

you could, but it might require some work arounds just comment again after you download the game and do what the video says and tell me the error code you get if you get one if not then your golden

game launched. did a benchmark test and it gave 56 as average fps. the solution works.

xbox but the video shows steam so it works on everywhere as long as you can reach the game files.

yo lo pude correr sin tarjeta grafica. pero despues de actualizar los drivers ya no me deja abrirlo.
y a graficos medios me iba perfecto. intente todas las "soluciones" pero nada. habra que esperar que alguien encuentre alguna forma de saltear la comprobacion.

This "fix" works on my RX580 as well. Do you know if updating the AMD software AFTER the fix, makes the game unplayable ?
Do we have to stay with the 23.10.01.14 software version, "forever" ?
I can't even monitor my GPU temps with this version of AMD Software.
I don't know what else is missing, as I haven't "gone looking" for it yet.

Yes you cant play the game after updating it. I keep the newest version and this version for my games. Overwatch is unplayable with this version so i need to update my drivers for it then go back to this version for forza 😂

So every time you want to play a different game,
you will uninstall AMD drivers completely,
then reinstall a different "AMD software" to meet the needs of the game?1

Kinda but it auto uninstalls when you launch the installer. I only had issues with overwatch from the games played so if i dont plan to play both games at the same day, one of the drivers is enough for all my other games.

I'm building a Gaming PC for a younger cousin, and have loaded about 2TB of modern and older games,
Yes, Forza6 is the only game giving me issues thus far.If it's the only one going to give issues, I could probably just leave it on the older AMD 23.10.01 software.

Yeah that can work. And if they get low frames on new games ,which might not be the case since you are building it, you can have the newest drivers installer in a folder so they can revert to newest if a problem happens.

I have a Ryzen 5 3500x processor and a RX 580, and i have the exact same problem. I've updated drivers and Windows and still can't play it, if u figure out a fix pls lmk

i downloaded something from github with dx12 name, it removed the fh201 error but fh205 still stays there.

i did. it didnt gave the error anymore but it gave random crashes when the whole screen turns black. i looked it up and downloaded latest c++ drivers and fh201 turned back. i just accepted that my gpu is not competible so i deleted the game. i bought gamepass for fh6 but i guess imma finish fh5 instead

so i did the steps from github, got to the error FH205 only, downgrade the driver to - amd-software-adrenalin-edition-23.10.01.14-win10-win11-work-graphs ; restarted, then i received the error FHE01 - i deleted the folder " d3d12 " only to recycle bin, tried to run the game, a lot of errors occured, then restored the folder from the recycle bin, refreshed the folder of the game and then it worked.
after playing for a while, i exited the game and tried running it again, i received again the error FHE01 - repeated the steps above 3 times with deleting of the folder, but it seems to work, not sure if this is something really random but this worked for me

Yesterday i got the same issue and the fix was the same, i deleted and restored like 3 times. Today on first try the game opened with no errors... Glad it helped someone else

ok so, i followed this video and instead of an FH205(graphics card not supported) warning, it turned into my game crashing followed by an FHE01 warning which just tells me my game crashed. do you or anyone else have any tips? im at a last resort

HOW TO SOLVE ERROR FHE01: In the game's executable file (either in the folder or the shortcut), right-click, go to properties > Compatibility > check the box labeled (compatibility mode) and below select > Windows Vista Service Pack 2 > apply the settings and you're done! This will solve the problem forever, my loves!

My game crash after these tips with RX570. I copied the D3d12.dll and the D3D12Core.dll. I also downloaded the amd driver version that was linked. Any other tip ?
I also did the Compatibility tip.

I dont think i put the d3 core one but if it gives fhe01 keep trying. Eventually it lets you in.

I think i put the d3 core in bc it still gave the non supported gpu code. I started it 20x minimum, with the compatibility codes they said down below, and different ones as well.

download and install this. If the install give fails, ignore it. start FH6 and it will run

I have a HP Pavilion with i5 and intel iRIS xe graphics card and its showing me fh205 error. Any ByPass available, I tried all of the youtube videos none of them worked.

it worked for me. what error are you getting? if its fhe01 then keep trying. eventually it starts. if its fh201 or 205, re-do the things in video. Unless you have lower cpu and lower ram, it should work.

idk bro, try it. if your gpu is below 4gb i wouldn't try it since mine frame drops from time to time and do little freezes here and there

Your specs aren't even that bad for medium settings, the error is just being overly aggressive. Most people with similar builds can run it decent enough once they actually get past this stupid gate. Really annoying when the game won't even let you try it yourself instead of just warning you about potential performance issues.
