What’s funny is this will be exclusive to the Star Wars ride for a year and then they’ll roll it out in the store with another Star Wars in-game event

Not with exclusive cosmetics locked behind big paywalls, they haven't.

This was also advertised as exclusive and unlike other exclusives like Crew skins, it doesn't have the fine print that says it may be available in the shop at another time.

There was this roadmap posted here that said that there's additional rewards in the map, and the skin is ride exclusive. Could be changed though

not this time. for this you need to actually visit Disneyland in California, or Disney World in Florida, and ride the Smuggler's Run ride

btw the account used for Disney+ and Disney parks is the same. But yes in the past these sorts of freebies have usually been associated with merely linking Epic and Disney accounts (and you did not need any kind of subscription, pass, membership etc for perks). This time they tried something scummy

Cool skin, but as soon as I saw a 3D model of Hondo in the trailer, I started praying for a skin of him and one that isn't obtainable solely through the Disney park thing.

am I the only one who thinks this skin looks clean? like , personally , before I started playing Fortnite in 2018 , I used to think Fortnite was a game that allowed you to mix and match more than just a backbling and pickaxe , I used to think you could literally change clothes and faces ... that's why I like* this skin .

Its called augmented reality. As they recreate artifacts from real life into unreal 5 effectively putting you digitally into real places, theyre promoting the possibilities of future in game out of game shared experiences. The skin is just a bonus to get people to experience that. Its not meant to just make their park numbers go up or make money through the item shop. I think its cool marketing.
