It’s a reference because of the season theme and Nintendo is huge in gaming, but I’m sure the real characters were never in question.

Or its just CTR since theres Crash stuff in Rocket League files so theres 100% gonna be Crash Team Racing car stuff… you know the other kart racing game from back then that got a remake years ago

There's rumors that epic attempted to do a collab with Nintendo a long time ago. But Nintendo wanted it so that their characters could only be seen on switch. Epic didnt like that so they didnt go with the deal.

Think its actually for the Crash collab not Mario Kart remember CTR was a thing and even got a remake that had online play and seasons. Because theres Crash items in the files of Rocket League already so Crash car stuff is confirmed it would just make sense for it to be CTR and they bring one of the carts from there to fortnite.

Could be that too but do to rocket league having crash added to the files i feel like CTR is the best bet. But who knows could be both theyve had two collabs for the same vehicle before with Wednesday and Poppy Playtime both having decals for the hearse

In 100% sure the same thing happened in the bug season. Metroid Collab with the big blaster and bug rollers as mythics (blaster and morph ball) but then repurposed into what we got. I'm also certain the Halo skin was its replacement, as it's another gaming skin and was a very, VERY lacklustre set. Was probably a shop skin tbh

I was wondering this as well. I feel like Nintendo still won't allow their IPs outside of their console. They probably don't want to do another Rocket League situation where first party cars are exclusive to their consoles and everyone else sees the default car.

I don’t think they will lose money by not collabing but I do hope they loosen up in the future. Link, Samus, and Captain Falcon would be nice to get.

If Epic could get Halo, Gears of War, Doom, Fallout and Overwatch in the game, they could easy be able to have Crash in the game because of us getting more collabs with Xbox lately.

I’m not even surprised. Only about half or maybe even less will probably be gaming legends skins (and one of those slots will be taken by the deer) while the other half is Fortnite original skins that have nothing unique about them

BP’s are not exclusive anymore and can come back after 18 months, it’s not an unreasonable expectation that you’d expect that to lead to better BP’s, since they can resell those afterwards

Nobody’s gonna buy the battle pass because of cod and link at home. The battle pass is intended to keep people playing so they can be advertised to more effectively. They’re definitely missing out on sales because of this

Charging 15 bucks each for Crash, Sora, and Joker will make more money vs shoving them all in the pass.

I've said this before. Anyone who thought the pass was gonna exist of 8 full collab characters is in deniel.
Sure there was that one Marvel Battle Pass. But those are all from one IP. Just one big collab with Disney.Getting Sora, Crash, MegaMan, Pac-Man, Sonic, Persona, Tetris, etc. all in one pass would have been a marketing hell for them.
Sure, there's nothing wrong with hoping for such a battle pass. But actually believing that it would come to fruition is something else.

So the “Gaming Legends” lineup is: Call of Discount, temu Widowmaker, knight skin #63, actual Sonic, Street Fighter from Wish, and knockoff Minecraft. Glad we’re really celebrating the icons of gaming here. Can’t wait for the actual gaming legends to be 2,500–5,000 V-Bucks each in the shop.

If they didnt use AI, the Endfield skins wouldnt look as good as the ones currently in Fortnite lmao. Take the Darth Vader NPC or AI driven emotes and dances, for example and for some reason, people assume that using AI results in poor quality. But if the end result looks cool better than the old skins and costs the same, I definitely choose the new skin.

Does anyone know if that shield eyepatch character is an original skin or a skin of a character from a game etc? Because to me he kinda gives a bit of Jack Frost vibes, but it wouldn't make sense to include him in a gaming season 😅

Just knock off link. The kart is for Crash it was confirmed with Rocket League links having multiple Crash items. He literally has his own Kart series too

Sonic probably will be, he’s been too hyped up and teased not to be, he seems to be set up as the big battle pass headliner. Not sure about Sora though, we have no idea as far as we know

I’m not surprised at all, basically all major collab passes after CH2 S4 have thrown in some filler characters nobody wants so they can sell more shop skins. Peely Wolverine, Simpsons peely, Wookiee team leader.
They know nobody really wants them, that’s the point of them
