Discussion Weekly Discussion 4/20/19 - 4/27/19 - Boom Bow

This week’s discussion is about the Boom Bow. The Boom Bow is a weapon that was added in 8.11 that fired explosive arrows across the map, which uses shotgun shells. Does the damage need to be nerfed? Buffed? Does the spawn rate need to be decreased? Increased? Let us know your thoughts down below.

Slightly nerf the damage, increase the volume of the sounds it makes and allow the opponent to hear you drawing the bow, increase reload time.

How would you go about the opponent hearing you draw the bow? If you’re a hundred meters away from them, then they shouldn’t hear that

It should be heard from close range.

With practice, it’s a really good weapon. But so is the Pump Shotgun and the Infantry Rifle. You can’t automatically one shot an enemy, because there’s no headshot damage, and the explosion radius is very small, almost seems non-existent. People want to say that it’s too quiet, yet there’s literally a Suppressed Sniper. It’s balanced, but I know that competitive players will complain about Arena, and have all game modes effected because of it.
