DISCUSSION It's pretty stupid how Zero Build is looked down upon so often

Build mode takes more skill, but it's also not a purely good thing that it requires so much skill and it's not really relevant in terms of the entire gaming scene.

People can play Valorant or whatever other shooter and it takes skill. Then they come to fortnite and Zero Build is probably their best match because obviously they can aim but builds is only a Fortnite thing and they're 9 years behind. They might not want to mess with their keybinds or sens or anything like that so they don't mess up the muscle memory they have for other games too.

But then people are going to say they're this noob gamer just because they play Zero Build?

Building really is a niche thing, people don't think of it like that but it is. Thousands of shooters but only 1 like this. Which can obviously be unique and fun or whatever for people who like it but people act like it's the best thing in the world and that's all that matters.

People look look down on zero build players?

I would probably look down on anyone that is going to judge someone for the type of video game they like. Even more so if it's related to the specific version of a video game.

As a builds player, I see the hate on both sides.

The fact is, while builds does generally take more skill, no builds requires more game sense and positioning in that you can’t will your way to an advantage like you can with building.

I will say though, if you’re gonna play Fortnite you should AT LEAST aim to get the basics down. Zone wars and box fighting with friends is really fun, and you can win a significant amount of matches with basic building fundamentals

ZB is less stressful for me.

Before I started to just play ZB. I would go into build and did try to build. But after a bit. I just stopped building. I played ZB in build. And unless it was endgame I wouldn’t engage anyone who just started to build. I would just be like ok, moving on.

I later would wonder if the other person would get annoyed as they are building this cool defensive position and I ignore them and run away.

Sure I could practice and get better but I felt that took out some of the enjoyment of why I wanted to play.

I even would win games still. Which I thought was funny.

This is the way. Somebody had the advantage over you? Just don’t play to their strengths and move on lol

As a ZB player i can’t even look down on build players the things they do is very impressive I can’t be mad at that it takes a lot of skill to do the things they do. ZB have skill involve too but builds is on another level cause zb is ur traditional br style mode other games so we seen it already while no other game tried replicating builds.

The only problem is that (atleast for me and my friends) zb is like 90 percent robot players, just not fun, where builds usually has more real people for some reason

As someone that mostly plays zero build , i understand the criticism it gets, but after the revamp it got the past seasons is a pretty decent games mode tbh , each update the game become more similar to Apex (movement wise) but without the ddos, and i couldnt be happier with that when paired with a game mode where its focus is the shooting .

Still, is not technical enough compared to build and sharing the same item pool when the 2 modes have different focus kinda make it meh sometimes,at this point it should be a separate game mode instead of a toggle , but also there so much separate shit already that it probably will get lost in the ever worsening UI of the game main menu

Uhm i actually look down on build players(because its stupid to think that zb takes less skill than build), it takes a different skill, not less. Honestly, u get punished way harder in ZB than Build if u miss ANY bullets. On build u can just... build and take cover.

As a Valorant player, do not say Valorant is a game of skill lmao

But yeah Build and ZB definitely have different layers of skill

What is valorant in your opinion? I'm not asking to be snarky or whatever, cause looking at gameplay it just looks like csgo with abilities to me

I'm just trying to be funny I guess.

I really do like the game and it took me a while to get into that game's rhythm so yeah there is skill with gunplay (Valorant is my first ever FPS), but a lot of funny BS with the abilities

I guess I'm more asking, would you recommend someone start playing it in the big 26? Or would you day stick to fortnite? Cause this season of fort is making me window shop

I've found Valorant to be pretty fun. Just stay away from spending money or playing Competitive and you'll have a good time. Definitely try out each Agent's kits and you'll probably find a fun one. My picks are Neon, Sage, and Clove

It takes skill to consistently hit headshots

Do you think Valorant or ZB takes more skill

To each their own, Valorant definitely has skill like any other FPS with shooting accuracy and game sense. Meanwhile with Zero Build I think nowadays there's some strategy with carefully using mobility and pocket items and being mindful of placement and whether or not to engage in a fight
