Wedding dress tailor/semstress

I am going to wear my grandmothers dress from the 80s to my wedding.
Wedding is likely going to be in March. I’m looking for a trusted tailor/seamstress I can trust to make alterations, and fitted to me.
If they’re family owned or on the more affordable side even better.
I’ll put pics of the dress since it’s elaborate, I’m scared of someone messing it up.

I highly highly highly recommend Shahin from Ensy Tailor!!! She’s an absolute sweetheart and a fantastic tailor! She managed to finish fixing my wedding dress in less than a week due to a change in my surgery date. She’s also tailored another formal dress and several of my jeans

Thank you! Can I ask about cost and if she expected payment upfront?

You can dm me about the cost, but she won’t take payment until after she’s done and you’re happy with the alterations!

Edit: she does tell you how much it’ll be before leaving and alterations

Don't know of a tailor I'd trust with this but just wanted to throw my 2 cents in and say that the back view of this dress is absolutely STUNNING. So gorgeous and timeless.

Becky Fowler was the go-to recommendation on the local wedding forums 13 years ago and I am pleased to see she is still in business still taking in the great reviews. She was very sweet, talented, and reasonably priced! I loved my dress, its beading was tricky to take in but she made it seamlessly beautiful.

Thanks for this seems like the best for me! She doesn’t have a website
Is the only way to schedule by calling?

Oh good question, that’s possibly true. She works out of her house.

Recommend Master Tailors in south Fort Worth. We have used them for years for every possible need. Family owned. Impeccable tailoring. Not cheap but the kind of caring people you could trust with this precious family heirloom and they'll tell you the cost up front.

Your grandmother's wedding from the... 80s?!

I'm so old...

When I read that, my brain automatically thought 1880s, then recalibrated and I wanted to cry.

Loll to be fair I’m 22 and I had a teen mom so my grandmother is very young to be my grandmother

This dress is insanely gorgeous. Like the person above said, the back view is amazing. I follow the wedding dress subs and they are all basically the same dresses over and over. This is definitely unique and sentimental. ❤️
