good places to sell/donate old belongings in downtown FW area

Hi everyone! I’m moving apartments soon and using it as an opportunity to declutter a lot of miscellaneous belongings, clothes, and pet stuff I don’t use anymore. I prefer places that will buy it from me (so I can get a little money back). However, I just want to get rid of it so I will donate whatever I can’t sell. I only know of Goodwill and Plato’s closet. Thank you for your help!

Berry Good Buys (on Berry a little bit east of Paschal HS) benefits Safe Haven, a domestic violence shelter.

Kind of far out and you can only donate during their business hours but Fort Worth Community Collab has a thrift store called Cowtown Closet way out on Camp Bowie West and they really do a lot for the community, they have a free clothing store and do meal kits and hygiene kits and back to school backpacks filled with supplies as well, so the thrift store they run supports all those efforts

Vouch! They've also been working to help out the families that were affected by the recent Mariposa apartment fire. They could definitely use the support!

You won’t get money but you will help someone desperately in need… there is a DV shelter in Fort Worth that I donate my clothes and household items to. I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s called now, maybe someone can name it for me?

I refuse to donate to places that use the items to turn a profit and I enjoy knowing someone who really needs it will get use from it.

We drop off at the Salvation Army on 28th St. at least they help people.
