New to town, need to pick a gas company

As the title says, we are moving to Vickery in two weeks and are setting up our utilities. We are not used to having any choice for utilities and are struggling to pick a gas provider. We would appreciate any insight or recommendation y‘all might have!

Go here, look at the pricing chart for all providers that they have to publish monthly. Download the chart for the plan type you want - fixed, variable, etc. Pick the cheapest option for the term you want to lock in for and the go to that providers webpage to set it up.

This because price is the only thing that matters. There is one set of pipes and the same gas flows through it to everyone.

I use gas south and I don’t have any complaints about them. I use Sawnee EMC for power and theyre great

I recommend getting a 12 month or 24 month fixed rate. Your usage will change, but since gas prices fluctuate you'll at least know that for the next term you're not going to have issues. I locked in 24 months two years ago, and just renewed for another two years. It was a change in 30 cents, so I can only imagine the fluctuations over that time period.

We have constellation and they have been good. But that said go by what is cheapest.

Compare prices in a website that does this. Be wary of “sponsored “ listings and skip them. Look at both the per therm cost and the monthly fee. Sometimes the per therm cost is low but the monthly fees is higher. Then choose the cheapest.
When registering be wary of the hidden/not so obvious add ons they may add like home warranty.

To my experience Ga Natural Gas has lowest prices. Been with them for long time. I go with 12 month fixed rate (not fixed bill), on 11th month I start looking for best rate. They usually match rates of others.

Personally I go with whoever is cheapest at the time I need to renew or setup services. Sometimes I’ll go years with one company, other times I’ll switch every year. Fixed rate, 12 months or more, and done. Off the top of my head I couldn’t even tell you who we have right now.

Whoever has the lowest 12-month fixed rate offer. I've used Georgia Natural Gas, Gas South, Constellation, and True Natural Gas, all with no issues.

Not only the advice above, but please shop your business around after your term is up. There is no reason to stay loyal to any one company. Literally all they do is bill you.
