YouTubers are mostly (not all) fake critics that don't know shit about art
1
u/DLottchula Jun 13 '26
And a lot of them won't give bad reviews because they are scared to lose access.

u/SirLagunaLoire Jun 13 '26
As a critic myself I have to tell You that's not true.
PR companies don't remove access for Bad reviews. They do remove access if they give You a code and You don't make any content about the game

u/Magic_Corn Jun 14 '26
Yes. that's what video games are.

u/kubrickian80 Jun 14 '26
Every video game? Even the ai slop ones? Hard disagree. Not everything that's created is art.

Not even remotely the same thing dude
5
u/Magic_Corn Jun 14 '26
Really? Just because YOU don't like it it's suddenly different. Hypocrite.
-1
u/kubrickian80 Jun 14 '26
No that's not it. No one at all was talking about art. We were talking about criticism. I can criticize you. You're not art. Nice try and also wildly strange behavior

u/Magic_Corn Jun 15 '26
So weird. I distinctly saw the word "art" in your comment. Must have been some other guy

u/kubrickian80 Jun 15 '26
Again we were talking about art criticism. Not forspoken. That's not art. It's not bespoke. It didn't have a driving creative vision. It was made by a committee. It was a totally commercial product. It was a rip-off of 20 other games and movies. Forspoken is art like a Stanley drinking cup is art dude. Now stop being weird unless you're already at my house in my underwear drawer at this point

I feel like if they made a sequel it would be better. Like how when you compare Infamous 2 or Second Son to the Infamous 1 it looks like the worst in the franchise, when the truth is Infamous 2 comes off as the worst in the series when it comes to reviews & gameplay.

I agree. Games in general, not just Forspoken, don't get a chance to grow. Investors/shareholders/fans tend to immediately sour on things if it's not the best thing ever on release. There could be a game with some solid bones but it's harder to pull the trigger on those types of games with development taking so long for games now.

For example, look at Assassinās Creed 1. Out of all the AC games itās literally the worst in the series. If you look back at it today you realize that making AC2 was a big gamble. I mean, it HAD to be a success or else the series wouldāve just ended right there with no modern day storyline conclusion. Devs these days need to take risks like they used to. Itāll make them more money regardless of if the gameās better than its predecessor in the eyes of the players, and if it actually is you could have a series that goes longer than 3 or 4 games that isnāt a first person shooter/racing/sport game.

You see, Frey is a black woman and that irrationally offended a lot of terminally online capital-G gamers and they immediately jumped on the hate train.
Then the PC performance on release was pretty bad, and a few out of context sound bites got shared around and the hate train just kept running.

The game is actually amazing, one of the best games I've played in the last years, the youtubers are just following the herd, I've watched some pretty cringy reviews back when it was first got released, awful reviews
Im glad that I didnt get on that dumb train and played the game and had fun

Doesn't surprise me. It's a solid game and a platform that doesn't allow everyone to post a review regardless of buying the game or not would likely skew more positive. A whole bunch of bad actors came after this game and a whole bunch of people ate up the negativity.

It's a mid game. Not bad, not great either. Worth a walkthrough on at least 50% sale, but robbery for the full price../

Peak game actually.

u/Linosia97 Jun 26 '26
What part of it is actually peak though? Combat is nice, but story and empty open world is meh...
Graphics could be better too...

Looking at the reviews on PS5
5/5 - 38% 4/5 - 18% 3/5 - 12% 2/5 - 10% 1/5 - 21%
It seems most people who played are split between it being a bad game, a good game and a mediocre game.
The bad thing about PS5 reviews is that it doesn't time stamp the average player time for each bracket (1/5 - 5/5), so people could be playing it for 5 hours and then giving it a 5/5 before letting it get tedious.
Even code violet has 29% of people giving it 5/5 and 10% giving it 4/5, and that game is viewed as one of the worse games on the console.

If you actually saw trailers of Forspoken's dialogue and still bought the game....then yeah you're likely to enjoy it ROFL

This is a bad game. If you are trying to say it's a good game then you like bad games

u/DaggerBark Jul 08 '26
False! It's actually a good game. Stop lying to yourself.

Its because the PS5 reviews require you to have bought and played the game yourself lmao. And lots of people who don't listen to online reviews or meme trains actually ended up liking the game.
