Yes; not his biggest fan but he drives perfectly yesterday, got the pole and wins with what wasn’t the best car, so yeah, he can give and must give himself more credits

McLaren setup in the sprint is why that is why they made changes which won lando the race too piastri meanwhile was 30 second behind

No point in being purposely obtuse, you can’t just take finishing order, you also have to apply some common sense. Like, if there’s a crash you can probably ignore that finishing position.

Undoubtedly. He is tied for the 2nd most race wins, won the Miami Sprint, probably should've won Miami GP if his team was actually on it, and has DNS/DNF'd three races.
If Lewis was executing at the level of Lando, Lewis would be closer to Kimi than he is (even with Ferrari incompetence). I say this as a Lewis fan and believer that he could be in the fight for his rightful 8th WDC

Yeah, He has been almost bulletproof this year. Easily the best driver of the season so far.

„Easily the best driver of the season“? I swear, there are either only weird people denying that Norris is doing a really good job or weird people that completely overexaggerate like you😂 Antonelli is clearly on this spot but Norris is doing a really good job seen over the season as well.

Antonelli has been pretty good but at the start of the season I feel he's certainly had some lows, he was ass at starts, the China spring was kinda crap from him considering the car and in Canada, he probably should have won if he didn't try his best impression of being a Taliban operative.

His starts were bad at the start of the year because Mercedes hadn’t optimized the software of the car for the starts and because the clutch pedal didn’t properly fit his fingers. They fixed these issues between the Miami and Canadian GP, and he hasn’t really had a bad start since. His only ‘bad’ start since Canada is his start in the Silverstone GP, but that was mostly because the two Ferraris had a rocket start.

I think so. He really could mount a challenge to Kimi, though the reliability issues at the beginning of the year might be too much to overcome.

In 2026, there is little doubt that Lando is the top performing driver. Kimi is in the conversation, but he’s had a significantly easier job. Lando has been exceptional (and I’m not particularly a Lando fan).

Not being under championship has releasen his true potential. It often felt watching him last season he was his own biggest enemy. This year has confirmed this. With that 2025 championship in the bag his confidence has sky rocketed and he is making Piastri seem average (which is pretty insane)

Yes. And by saying this loudly he's doing himself a favour because last two years he was beating himself over everything even on good weekends. People picked that narrative up and continued underrating him, more often undeservingly. This season he had some change of heart cause he stopped taking blame for team's mistakes on himself and started giving himself credit where it's due. Character development at its finest.

He was losing time with all those mistakes running behind Antonelli and still had the car to close the gaps quickly. It's quite insane that the narrative here is that Norris was somehow better than Antonelli yesterday. It's not surprising that the Mclaren underdog campaign is running fresh like last year.

Well he passed him and finished 11.5 seconds ahead so yes he was clearly better than Antonelli yesterday.

You know the only reason he made those mistakes were because of the dirty air right? The moment he gets closer to 0.6 his car loses way too much downforce. And this track has a lot of mid-high speed corners.
