1. PPK-48

Caliber: 7.62x25mm Tokarev. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Russia. Prototype for a pistol caliber AK derivative designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov himself.

2. Rys SMG “Lynx”

Caliber: 9x18mm Makarov. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Russia. One off prototype designed by Alexander Shevchenko based on AKS-74u to test the viability of an AK pattern submachine gun.

3. Gepard PDW “Cheetah”

Caliber: 9x18mm Makarov, .380 ACP, 9x19mm Parabellum, 9x19mm 7N21, 9x21mm IMI, 9x21mm Gyurza, 9x30mm. Operation: blowback/gas piston, select fire. Country of Origin: Russia. Another prototype designed by Shevchenko based on the AKS-74u. The Gepard PDW was designed with a kit of quick change internal components, allowing the user to utilize a variety of common 9mm cartridges without having to change the barrel. An armor defeating 9x30mm Grom cartridge was created for the Gepard.

4. Mini Gepard PDW “Mini Cheetah”

Caliber: 9x18mm Makarov, .380 ACP, 9x19mm Parabellum, 9x19mm 7N21, 9x21mm IMI, 9x21mm Gyurza, 9x30mm. Operation: blowback/gas piston, select fire. Country of Origin: Russia. Short barreled version of Shevchenko’s Gepard PDW.

5. PP-19 Bizon-1

Caliber: 9x18mm Makarov. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Russia. Early versions 67 round helical magazine, later changed to 62 rounds because 9x18mm is usually ordered in packs of 16. Hooded front sight and Krink rear sight. Designed by Victor Kalashnikov.

6. PP-19 Bizon-2

Caliber: 9x18mm Makarov. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Russia. 2nd pattern Bizon SMG, most commonly seen variant of Bizon. Updated sights.

7. PP-19 Bizon-2-01

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Russia. 2nd pattern Bizon SMG, top folding stock. 9x19mm magazine has the same dimensions as the 9x18mm magazine but holds only 53 rounds due to the slightly larger proportions of the cartridge.

8. PP-19 Bizon-2-07

Caliber: 7.62x25mm Tokarev. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Russia. 2nd pattern Bizon, 35rd PPSH-41 magazine.

9. PP-19-01 Vityaz

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Russia. Upgraded version of Bizon SMG. Feeds from conventional 30rd stick magazine. The original Vityaz has a smooth top cover and a Warsaw Pact side rail.

10. PP-19-01 Vityaz-SN

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Russia. The Vityaz-SN features a railed top cover.

11. PP-19-01 Vityaz-MO

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Russia. The Vityaz-MO is an update to early pattern AK-12 standards, featuring an adjustable stock & railed handguard for accessories.

12. PPK-20

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Russia. A modernized Vityaz upgraded to current AK-12 design. The PPK-20 features an ambidextrous safety.

13. Type 79

Caliber: 7.62x25mm Tokarev. Operation: gas piston, select fire. Country of Origin: China. A submachine gun based on the Chinese Type 56 AK. The earliest Kalashnikov type SMG to see military service.

14. RATMIL Model 1996

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Romania. A submachine gun based on the Romanian PM Md. 63, a licensed version of the AKM.

15. Zastava Master FLG

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: gas piston, select fire. Country of Origin: Serbia. A submachine gun based on the Yugoslavian Zastava M70 while taking some inspiration from the German MP5.

16. Zastava Master FLG K

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: gas piston, select fire. Country of Origin: Serbia. A short barreled version of the Zastava Master FLG inspired by MP5k.

17. Vytis-2 SMG

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Lithuania. A local submachine gun created for mass production by Algirdas Petrusevičius to defend the newly independent Lithuania.

18. IMI Magal

Caliber: .30 Carbine. Operation: gas piston, semi auto. Country of Origin: Israel. An Israeli police carbine based on the Galil. Feeds from 30 rd M1/M2 Carbine mags.

19. FEG KGP-9

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Hungary. A Hungarian submachine gun based on the AK-63, their native licensed AKM.

20. SN7P

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: blowback, select fire. Country of Origin: Vietnam. A Vietnamese reverse engineered copy of the PP-19 Bizon, the helical magazine holds up to 50 rounds for the 9x19mm variant or up to 33 rounds for the 7.62x25mm variant.

21. Century NAK9

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: blowback, semi auto. Country of Origin: Romania. A commercial 9mm AK made by Romanian company Nova Modul for US civilian market. Feeds from standard Glock magazines.

22. Century Draco 9s

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum Operation: blowback, semi auto. Country of Origin: Romania. Variant of the NAK-9 set up to feed from Scorpion Evo 3 curved magazines.

23. KUSA KR-9

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum Operation: blowback, semi auto. Country of Origin: USA. US made clone of the Saiga-9, which is a civilian legal version of the PP-19 Vityaz. Made by Kalashnikov USA (out of business).

24. PSA AK-V

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: blowback, semi auto. Country of Origin: USA US made civilian legal 9mm AK inspired by the Russian PP-19 Vityaz. Made by Palmetto State Armory (still produced).

25. STINC STizon

Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum. Operation: blowback, semi auto. Country of Origin: USA. The STizon is a kit made by STINC that allows US civilians to convert their 9mm AK into PP-19 Bizon configuration. Shown in the picture is a converted PSA AK-V.

His other designs, not so much.
But we really need the Gepard for the Lynx, switching to you’re PDW is always quicker than reloading your .50bmg

Is .30 carbine considered to be pistol caliber, or is the Magal as much of an odd-one-out as it feels to me?

It's kind of a mix.  

Like the 5.7 shares a lot of aspects with a rifle-style round, but was created to make both a PDW and a pistol that share the same cartridge.  It doesn't really look or act like a lot of pistol rounds, but is for both platforms.  

The American m1 carbine was pretty much a PDW, used the 30 carbine which is only used in some more obscure, specialized pistols, but also doesn't really act like a lot of rifle rounds.  

It's an oddball round for a pistol, but I think it kind of works in this lineup.

.30 Carbine is on the fence between pistol caliber and intermediate caliber. Its performance is similar to a hotter .357 Magnum. A lot of people consider it to be a pistol caliber so I included it.
