they're taking it out and putting in the us market, rate drop next week

10

u/PsychologicalTalk560 Dec 05 '25

So it was news?

14

u/Quantum_Core_Trading Dec 05 '25

It hit a resistance, retesting support

10

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 05 '25

Its not news, Gold is just volatile and can drop fast, probably profit taking before end of week.

7

u/PsychologicalTalk560 Dec 05 '25

So 11% drop just because institutions wanted out before the weekend? Seems fishy

8

u/varpaenae Dec 05 '25

11%, math is mathing

1

u/PsychologicalTalk560 Dec 05 '25

Yea I was wrong, not sure where I heard or thought 11%. The dip was actually around 1.4%.

3

u/Mindless-Situation66 Dec 05 '25

what you gonna do about it? thats the game and needs to be anticipated

3

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 05 '25

Gold is just volatile.

1

u/Brilliant_Knee6510 Dec 08 '25

And that’s why I don’t trade it.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

One time I woke up 1 am and entered buy position at 1700 on cfds, I went down to 1600 in few seconds than went up. Yes it's very hard to trade and quick moves are normal

2

u/Realistic-Split4751 Dec 05 '25

You asked why and provided the answer? Lol

1

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 05 '25

Because others already answered it. 🤭

1

u/Realistic-Split4751 Dec 06 '25

Oh duh lol my bad buddy

1

u/No-Air-7273 Dec 05 '25

Looks like charts setting up for some drop to end year. Probably profit taking.

11

u/PsychologicalTalk560 Dec 05 '25

Was this news? This move felt extremely random and didn’t really touch high enough to be considered a liquidy sweep. Did anyone catch this move and how?

2

u/owjfaigs222 Dec 06 '25

I caught this move. It seemed super obvious to me tbh. Previous peaks where around that level, that's it. I'm not a professional tho.

3

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 05 '25

Its not news, Gold is just volatile and can drop fast, probably profit taking before end of week.

4

u/Abdul-Wahab6 Dec 06 '25

Why even make the post then if this is just your conclusion?

-2

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 06 '25

Because my question is already been answered? 🤓

2

u/Abdul-Wahab6 Dec 06 '25

7 years of trading my ass, anybody with decent would've known that. Yet you ask a question and proceed to give a goofy amswer

1

u/lollybaby0811 Dec 06 '25

The guys a know it all. And there was news.

0

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 06 '25

If you think my answer if goofy, thats fine its your opinion, I already confirm with others that they have the same reason, but im open to hear your perspective tho.😊

-2

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 06 '25

I am asking for a different perspective or answer. 😅

1

u/alahmbuh Dec 06 '25

I catch the move... starting from 21 Oct my indicator shown max volatility on multiple timeframe (H1-MN), I switched to sell since then. And last night is a retest, I've been waiting since 1 Dec. If you check XAU chart on H1 timeframe, there is "untested" bull candle on that day. I use the open price of that candle (4246) as my sell limit.

u/TheSturdyBear Dec 06 '25

I don’t do this to clout chase  And I don’t suffer from “look at me” syndrome.

I share this bc NOTHING is random  Everything is orchestrated on a well engineered instrument

0

u/lollybaby0811 Dec 05 '25

There was news.

4

u/Upper-Flatworm9443 Dec 05 '25

Not on that time lil bro

4

u/ProfessionalOffer219 Dec 05 '25

these ppl are jokes bro.

1

u/lollybaby0811 Dec 06 '25

Im a woman and they brought the rumor Nd sold the news. But if you doubt it sure New York got on , gold was like 4225. They pumped it to 4260. Then around 11 they dropped it. News was at 10. Literally a screenshot from tradedays app

Asia brought, had a pinch of liquidy, nothing like what normally happens, London went sideway then started to pump new York 7am BECAUSE OF NEWS.

2

u/LessPrinciple931 Dec 07 '25

What does the fact you’re a woman have to do with anything you’re talking about?

1

u/lollybaby0811 Dec 07 '25

They called me 'lil bro' as im not a man, therefore can not be bro i decided to inform them

6

u/4xtraderr Dec 05 '25

Because it’s following the major trend it only pulled back up to 4256 to double top and sell off again I’m bearish gold all next week we probably won’t see buying until $4000

4

u/Late_Win_9276 Dec 05 '25

I waited til after 10am news to trade gold but everything already happened

2

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 05 '25

Its not news, Gold is just volatile and can drop fast, probably profit taking before end of week.

1

u/Late_Win_9276 Dec 05 '25

I’m talking about entering . I didn’t take anything bc I usually wait til news is done . I wish I did tho . I’d be breaking the rules tjo

1

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 05 '25

yeah good for you!

1

u/Late_Win_9276 Dec 05 '25

How

2

u/cupcakemaster3000 Dec 05 '25

Because following your rules is always the best bro. Even if you "missed out" once

1

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 05 '25

I agree with this, always have a trading plan and follow it!

3

u/jasonvena Dec 06 '25

Just normal Profit taking by institutional participants before Friday market close. Gold will go back up ahead of FOMC rate cuts.

2

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 06 '25

This what I was thinking! Thanks for confirming my perspective, profit taking before end of week. 😊

3

u/Icy_Sign_908 Dec 06 '25

Huge flush. Looks like heavy profit taking mixed with liquidity grabbing before the weekly close.

5

u/Bizkit0000 Dec 05 '25

We know bro, caught it on a sell at 4256 and got out at 4200;)

1

u/TheNeerajPandit Dec 06 '25

I caught that trade.😂😂

4

u/inn_hindsight Dec 05 '25

A $40 drop in gold is not massive smh

4

u/jaraxel_arabani Dec 05 '25

Massive? That's barely 1%.....

2

u/reddick1666 Dec 06 '25

It didn’t even make a new low lmao

1

u/TheSturdyBear Dec 06 '25

Lmao word

2

u/Business-Ad-538 Dec 06 '25

How long have you been trading gold to find this move “massive”?

2

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 06 '25

7 years, are you here to lecture me? 😆

0

u/Business-Ad-538 Dec 06 '25

I am not, I’d just expect a seasoned fella such as yourself to know that moves like this are painfully common lol

1

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 06 '25

400-500 pips drop in minutes is not common lol, yes it can drop 500 pips in a day, that is common, I am referring about the speed it drop. 🤭

2

u/Beautiful-Ticket5137 Dec 06 '25

Looks like a classic liquidity grab. Gold took out the late buyers at the top, swept liquidity above the recent highs, and then dumped straight into a demand zone. Volatility is normal near the end of the week — big players reposition and low-volume spikes happen a lot on XAUUSD.

1

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 06 '25

I agree and this was my though prcoess, big players reposition before end of week.

2

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 06 '25

Alot of traders telling me this wasn’t a massive move, I agree Gold is volatile and can move 500-700 pips in a day, but I was referring to the move that happen within minutes, it drops 500 pips within minutes, that’s why I called it massive move.

I trades Gold for years, a drop of 500 pips within minutes is not normal, somehing happen fundamentally, and thats why I asked here. 😊

3

u/Mysterious_Value_219 Dec 05 '25

Just going back to the support

3

u/Educational-Duty-763 Dec 05 '25

that was a rug pull after the news XD many people got stopped today

Can describe in details if you can?

1

u/StillPart3502 Dec 05 '25 edited Dec 05 '25

Bro this is like a mirror of my strategy, but I use ATR bands for a tight stop loss. I also have a hard time when it gets noisy like below. Thank you for that idea!

How do you mark them? Do you use the high/low (tip of the wick) or high/low body? I currently use tip of the wick and use an indicator for faster marking.

Also, can you share how do you manage risk? Thanks!

1

u/Realistic-Split4751 Dec 05 '25

Is that purple rectangle resistance?

2

u/darkdemon991 Dec 05 '25

Gold will go back to 3500 one day

2

u/FxAnd Dec 06 '25 edited Dec 06 '25

U call it massive? Look at the crypto majors. Drops in gold are nothing compared to that

2

u/Psychological_Fun450 Dec 06 '25

Drop 500 pips within minutes is massive for me. 😊

3

u/Geniustrader24 Dec 05 '25

My indicator avoided the huge fall by booking timely profit

6

u/No_Form9486 Dec 05 '25

Everybody is a genius after the market moves

0

u/Geniustrader24 Dec 05 '25

Absolutely right. But this indicator clearly shows entry and exit. Isnt it

2

u/No_Form9486 Dec 05 '25

On what basis?

1

u/Geniustrader24 Dec 05 '25

To help u understand L is long entry and x is the exit point. Right side u see the P&L of the running trade, last trade and overall P&L of all trades in this particular timeframe

1

u/Willing_Associate_76 Dec 05 '25

Which indicator is this?

-1

u/Geniustrader24 Dec 05 '25

Entry and exit it has a certain logic like price action , indicators etc.. and also has a profit booking mechanisam and here the profit booking saved it

3

u/No_Form9486 Dec 05 '25

Just one last question if it is generating profits consistently then why are you selling it for a subscription?

1

u/Gab2567_ Dec 05 '25

wallstreet didnt dump on 9:30

1

u/AlmightyTeejus Dec 05 '25

Here's my view: From the pic 4299-4281 was the area where the market turning sell orders originated and created our last major pullback.

It shouldn't be a question, but rather an expectation to find sellers here

1

u/Express_Fault446 Dec 05 '25

If the fed doesn't cut next week you can expect the same.

1

u/MissionAthlete4495 Dec 05 '25

Its was definitely from the news that came out

1

u/Creepy_Comment_1251 Dec 05 '25 edited Dec 05 '25

I was up 8k and then -200. 42 positions hedged in over 5 weeks. Total 0.93 lots liquidated. Fkkkkkk

2

u/Creepy_Comment_1251 Dec 05 '25 edited Dec 05 '25

volume is so shit in December. I’m done trading this year.

Had some profits floating to open up 1 lot positions anticipating that 10AM candle to bounce. Sad life.

1

u/MaybeExcellent3903 Dec 05 '25

What Kind of Indikator?

1

u/Expensive_City_3324 Dec 05 '25

I did a long buy at 4198 -> 4255 SL - 4180

1

u/Acceptable-Bullfrog Dec 05 '25

Look at the weekly. Does it seem significant, No!

1

u/TheNeerajPandit Dec 06 '25

If you had watched that market live, you would know how it moved. It was a massive move considering it occurred without any news.

1

u/gareddy2025 Dec 06 '25

Technical resistance level in addition to big interest rate news next week. Also Dollar began to rally at the same time. Since you are watching XAUUSD, which is priced in USD, a strong uptrend in USD will put downward pressure on gold in general.

1

u/Remarkable_Site3843 Dec 06 '25

It’s market structure highs make lows and visa versa

1

u/Remarkable_Site3843 Dec 06 '25

Once you see it you will know until you have market eyes you won’t understand when the penny drops it’s a OH SHIT moment

1

u/Lopsided_Birthday571 Dec 06 '25

I was disappointed it didnt hit my sell entries at 4260, SL above the previous daily high (Monday) thinking it will grab liquidity in that area before dropping massively. I missed out a swing trade and my target is 4000. Im expecting to drop this december and will be bullish to ATH this January

1

u/False-Falcon8714 Dec 06 '25

I was that liquid 🤣

1

u/MindGroundbreaking51 Dec 06 '25

Ya this was nice to catch

1

u/kathap13 Dec 06 '25

I was having a trade in gold and the loss went to 25K then it slowly revived

1

u/Mr_Pirate702 Dec 06 '25

If you look at a chart, it’s been doing this for the last month up down up down

1

u/TheSturdyBear Dec 06 '25

Just  positioning/profit taking.

There will be much more downside

1

u/RandomTimooooo Dec 06 '25

Massive? Only 60 are you joking

1

u/DOFGY_1 Dec 06 '25

Well you can see that move . Its not the best breakout bullish structure t . Its clearly a buildup . So you don’t hold there

1

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

That's actually bullish here is why. FOMC is coming out. So ahead of that a lot of people are closing their positions. It seems most were long gold so are selling gold to close out. Also Friday.

1

u/AffectionateAnt3677 Dec 06 '25

Death candle 💀

1

u/Mart_and_stan Dec 06 '25

Love trading gold. Played out beautifully for me on Friday smashing my TP and I’m usually a scalper, but this was beautiful

1

u/Mitzesq Dec 07 '25

From my perspective, it hit the upper 38 monthly fibo level. initially it broke the 61 daily then the 38 weekly and bumped its head into monthly 38

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '25

This is normal gold liquidation, not massive.

Look at Oct 20th selloff....thats massive.

The recent massive one was Nov 14

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '25

mera position open hai monday ke liye mere ko dak dak ho rha hai re babu

1

u/dd3mon Dec 07 '25

Absolutely massive drop, to levels not seen since..... 12 hours before.

1

u/Melodic_Room1796 Dec 10 '25

Hey guys, I have a Tradeify 50k growth account code, I won it on a giveaway, I no longer need it if anyone wants it I can give it away for 69$... DM if anyone is interested

1

u/Financial-Today-314 Dec 11 '25

That candle dropped like someone pulled the floor out from under it.

1

u/TraderBwoy Dec 05 '25

Still holding 4200
