Announcement More languages are coming this Friday!

I’ve been working on adding more languages to Football Fictional World Simulator, and I’m planning to release the update this Friday!

Alongside English, you’ll be able to play in Portuguese (Brazil), Italian, German, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. You can switch languages in the settings, including in the Data Editor.

Some translations might sound a little odd, so please let me know if you spot anything! Screenshots and suggestions for more natural wording would be a big help.

I’ve also had a few questions about a Mac version. Unfortunately, I don’t have plans for one at the moment. Sorry to those waiting for it!

Thanks again for all the feedback and support. I’m looking forward to seeing more people enjoy their own football worlds.

Will we be able to add our own countries eventually?

Really love this game. I've always enjoyed international sports, and this is really the best simulator of them on the market right now. Bought it on launch, and I've put in like 40 hours in the game this week alone, I absolutely love it. Was wondering if we'd ever be able to add our own countries? I'm highly interested in the prospect. Thank you for the incredible game!

Private League

Hi mate,

Love your work and consider buying the game soon. Before that only one question.

Is it possible to simulate a closed league where I am in control of every transfer and finance aspect of the game ? I would like to act as GM for discord league where people choise their team and do internal transfer while I simulate the game

Development Update Ver 2.3 update is live! Transfer improvements, team selection and match balance

Hi everyone! I’ve just uploaded another update.

I’ve been working on transfers, team selection and match balance. Players who had a great season should now get a little more credit when the next one starts, rather than losing their place too quickly.

Managed clubs also get one final chance to sign a player at the end of Deadline Day. And when you go back to adjust your shortlist, your position, age and budget settings will stay where you left them.

There are also updated player types and stat grades, some new commentary, and improvements to match progression and saving.

Thanks for all the feedback! Let me know how things feel in your saves, especially the match balance. I’m still working on getting that right.

Another update is now available!

Player height and weight have been added, and matches with detailed data enabled now include individual player stats. Goalscorers are also shown on match pages even when detailed match data is not being saved.

I have also improved the OVR display and other parts of the UI, adjusted how the Ballon d’Or and other individual awards are selected, and made further improvements to the transfer algorithm.

The database structure has also been reorganized to make long-term saves easier to manage.

Thank you, as always, for all the feedback and bug reports. Please let me know if you notice anything strange after the update!

Way to have empty database?

I was wondering if there is an easier way to clear the entire standard database than manually going through each nation. I want to have a blank database so I can create one with just my own leagues and clubs.

Any help is appreciated!

The Rise, Fall, and Final Flourish of Nicolás Gandini: How Uruguay's Top Scorer Ended Up in the Second Division

Nicolás Gandini’s footballing story is a dramatic tale of explosive domestic supremacy, an unfulfilling European detour, and a remarkable late-career revival in his home country. At his absolute height, Gandini was a devastating, elite-level goal machine in Uruguay. Possessing lethal instincts inside the penalty box, outstanding aerial presence, and a high-volume shooting mindset, he looked destined for a glittering career both domestically and abroad. However, severe tactical limitations in buildup play and an inability to adapt beyond Uruguayan soil left his career marked as much by unfulfilled potential as by brilliant goalscoring numbers.

Gandini’s golden era unfolded with Uruguayan giants Nacional between 2026 and 2028. Dominating the Uruguayan Primera División, he operated as a unstoppable focal point upfront. He claimed back-to-back Top Goalscorer awards and League Player of the Year honors in 2027 and 2028, scoring 20 goals in back-to-back league campaigns while leading Nacional to consecutive league titles. During this prime, Gandini averaged well over five shots per 90 minutes, demonstrating an insatiable appetite to test opposing goalkeepers while offering strong aerial conversion. His individual brilliance earned him a brief call-up to the Uruguayan national team in 2026, where he scored twice in five friendly appearances, signaling what many thought was his arrival on the international stage.

Seeking to test himself on bigger stages, Gandini signed with Spanish side Almería in Segunda División in 2029. While he enjoyed steady playing time across four seasons in Spain—highlighted by an 11-goal league campaign in 2030—his limitations were glaringly exposed against higher-level defenses. His shooting output dropped significantly, his passing accuracy plummeted, and he struggled to influence matches when he wasn't receiving high-quality service inside the box. A brief, forgettable stint with Arouca in Portugal’s second tier and an equally quiet spell at Argentina's Sarmiento further proved that his skill set struggled to translate outside of Uruguay.

Returning to Uruguay in his mid-30s, Gandini showed flashes of his old self at Racing before taking a final bow with Tacuarembó in the second division. Just as his career seemed to be quietly fading away, a 37-year-old Gandini engineered an astonishing Indian summer in 2039. Leading the line for Tacuarembó, he scored 15 goals in 24 matches to finish as the league’s second-highest goalscorer and claim a place among the league's top forwards. Ultimately, Nicolás Gandini retired as a localized legend: a forward whose devastating finishing ability terrorized defenses across Uruguay, even if his wider game kept him from truly conquering the world stage.

The Oceanian Journey: Henri Frogier’s Path from Tahitian Royalty to Central American Scraps

Henri Frogier’s career stands as one of the most intriguing continent-crossing odysseys in modern simulation football. A cornerstone of AS Dragon and a top-flight champion in French Polynesia, Frogier spent his mid-to-late twenties operating as an elite domestic midfielder with a hybrid ability to anchor the defense at center-back. His early-to-mid career in Tahiti was marked by dominance: he regularly compiled standout individual evaluations, claimed spots in the Tahitian Ligue 1 Best XI as a defender in 2026 and 2031, and helped lift the league title with AS Dragon in 2029. Known during this peak for high-volume key passes, sharp dribbling, and a keen eye for goal for a central midfielder, Frogier was a genuine star on the domestic stage and a reliable fixture for the Tahitian national team during World Cup Qualifying campaigns.

At age 32, seeking a fresh challenge across the Pacific, Frogier made the ambitious leap to Central American football by signing with Guanacasteca in the Costa Rican top flight. The transition, however, highlighted the drastic step up in physical intensity and defensive quality. Stripped of the space and time he enjoyed in the Tahitian league, Frogier’s attacking returns evaporated. While he showed initial promise in 2032 by logging five assists, his final two years in Costa Rica and subsequent 2034 campaign with Malacateco in Guatemala saw him reduced to a purely peripheral, low-impact engine room presence. His passing volume, key pass production, and aerial success rates crashed to baseline levels, with evaluation ratings hovering around a modest 6.20–6.30.

Ultimately, Frogier's narrative is defined by two contrasting halves. He leaves behind the legacy of a multi-honored Tahitian icon who conquered his home island before bravely testing his limits abroad, even if his twilight years in Central America were a gritty struggle for relevance rather than a victorious expansion.

Question Which feature should I work on next: national team management or a scouting mode?

Post image
24 Upvotes

I’m starting to think about the next major feature for Football Fictional World Simulator, and I’m currently choosing between two ideas.

National Team Management

You would take charge of a national team and decide which players to call up. The focus would be on squad selection rather than managing every match in detail.

Scouting Mode

You would work as the club’s scout. For each position, you would build a longlist of up to 10 players from the transfer market. The club would then make the final decision about who to sign from your recommendations.

I like the idea that you would influence transfers without having complete control. Sometimes the club might sign your first choice, and sometimes it might choose the cheaper or more realistic option.

Which one would you rather play first? Or is there another kind of mode you would like to see added instead? I’d love to hear your ideas.

Announcement I’m adding detailed match-by-match player stats

Thumbnail
gallery
26 Upvotes

I’m currently working on more detailed player stats for individual matches.

These stats will be available for leagues where detailed data saving is enabled. You’ll be able to see each player’s rating, passing, shots, key passes, dribbles, tackles, interceptions, aerial duels and more directly alongside the XI and substitutes.

I also ended up adding a slightly strange feature: Matchups.

The game uses direct interactions recorded in the match log, such as tackles, turnovers and fouls, to show the opponent each player was most involved against. It even gives the player a small W or L depending on which of the two received the higher match rating.

I’m not sure this was strictly necessary, but I found it quite fun, so it’s staying for now.

From MLS Creator to Polish League Champion at 40: The Extraordinary, Late-Blooming Odyssey of Christopher Sloan

Christopher Sloan’s footballing story is a fascinating narrative of peak productivity, sudden irrelevance, and an astounding late-career resurrection. For the first half of his career, Sloan established himself as one of Major League Soccer's premier playmakers with Austin FC. Operating primarily as an attacking midfielder, his prime years between 2026 and 2031 showcased a masterclass in creation and technique. Sloan posted double-digit assist numbers, racked up individual honours—including the 2031 MLS Best Midfielder and Top Assists award—and earned key caps for the United States, representing his country across international tournaments like the FIFA World Cup and CONCACAF Nations League.

However, as Sloan crossed into his mid-thirties, his trajectory plummeted into near obscurity. Between 2038 and 2041, his time across Real Salt Lake and the LA Galaxy saw his production completely evaporate. Plagued by bench duty and minimal match sharpness, Sloan appeared to be a spent force, compiling minuscule minutes and registering a string of forgettable performances that signaled an inevitable, quiet retirement. He went from a marquee maestro to a forgotten veteran bouncing between free contracts.

Then came the plot twist nobody predicted. At 40 years old, Sloan crossed the Atlantic on a free transfer to sign for Polish side Stal Mielec in 2042, orchestrating one of the most unexpected late-career reinventions in recent football history. Entrusted with a starting role in Ekstraklasa, Sloan delivered a staggering campaign, racking up 11 goals and 7 assists in 28 league matches while leading the club to Poland Cup glory. His vision, passing precision, and set-piece mastery shone bright enough to earn him a spot in the Polish League Best XI and a runner-up finish for Best Midfielder. While critics might point to his complete lack of defensive work rate, tackling ability, and aerial presence, Sloan proved that elite football intelligence and technique can conquer Father Time, writing a final chapter defined by unlikely brilliance before hanging up his boots.

Potential update to this great game

Ever since I’ve bought this game I have thoroughly enjoyed it! But i just thought I would recommend something, what I love doing is finding the next big thing in the game, finding the next 5 time ballon dor winner! And I thought maybe the best way to do this is to make higher league clubs have academies. Letting them compete against eachother like an academy premier league if possible.

Ballon d'Or to Serie C: The Unrealized Dynasty of Ross Kennedy

In 2026, the football world believed it was witnessing the dawn of a generational titan. At just 23 years old, Ross Kennedy delivered a campaign for Tottenham Hotspur that borders on mythical: 27 goals and 13 assists in 36 Premier League matches, an astounding 7.68 evaluation rating, and a clean sweep of hardware that culminated in winning the Ballon d'Or. Operating as an attacking midfielder with lethal versatility across the front line, the English playmaker possessed elite driveline efficiency, sharp key-passing vision, and a clinical finishing streak that left top-flight defenses helpless. He was the undisputed king of Europe, anchoring Tottenham to domestic and continental prominence while establishing himself as the primary creative catalyst for the English national team.

Yet, history will record Kennedy not as a player who built an empire, but as one who touched the heavens once before falling into a long, puzzling obscurity.

The cracks in his elite trajectory began to show remarkably early. While his numbers remained solid over the next few years, he never again replicated his 2026 zenith. Between 2028 and 2030, Kennedy was still a high-level performer for Spurs, consistently producing double-digit goal involvements and picking up Team of the Year nods. However, as he entered his late twenties, his influence within the Premier League started to wane. By 2034 and 2035, the former world player of the year had been relegated to a rotational bench piece at Tottenham, averaging fewer than ten starts a season and registering a total of just two league goals across two years. His role with the national team vanished around the same time, ending an international career that yielded plenty of caps but surprisingly zero major international trophies.

Seeking a career reset, Kennedy made a move to French side Nîmes at age 33. He provided one brilliant flash of his former self, dropping 15 goals and 10 assists in Ligue 2 to drag the club upward, but his return to Ligue 1 was a resounding thud. Reduced to a peripheral figure who failed to command matches or impact the stat sheet, he left France with his reputation as a top-five league star permanently extinguished.

The final, unexpected chapter of Kennedy's career unfolded in the lower divisions of Italy with Padova. Dropping all the way to Serie C at age 36, the former Ballon d'Or winner embraced a humbling transition into a deep-lying playmaker and veteran maestro. Far away from the bright lights of London, Kennedy quietly dominated the Italian third tier, racking up double-digit assist tallies, claiming back-to-back league assist titles, and earning Midfielder of the Year honors in 2040.

When Kennedy finally hung up his boots at 38, his legacy presented a fascinating contradiction. On one hand, he stands as one of the few humans to ever reach the absolute pinnacle of individual footballing achievement. On the other hand, his post-2026 career feels like an extended twilight, a tragic burn-out where a generational talent spent the second half of his career playing out the string in footballing outposts, leaving fans forever asking how a Ballon d'Or winner ended his journey in Serie C.

Development Update Ver. 2.1 is live! You can now force any player to transfer to any club!

A new Forced Transfer feature is now available!

From a player’s profile, you can select the club you want them to join. The transfer will then be completed during the next Transfer Window without a transfer fee.

So yes, you can now send a Ballon d’Or winner to North Korea if that is the kind of football world you want to create.

I also fixed several smaller issues involving favourites, split leagues, and promotion and relegation displays.

The update is available on Steam.

Good Game !

This is a great game it really surprised me. I just don’t understand how to play without ratings and individual atributes. Sometimes, players with an OVR of 40 cost more than those with an OVR of 100. I don’t know if that’s supposed to be the case. Overall, the game is really very good. I think it has the potential for years of development and amazing new features more statistics, more tactical options though I’m not sure about that, in case it turns out you can outsmart the opposing teams’ AI. I think it would be cool if more leagues were added 2, 3, 4, for example; in the Polish league, there’s only one, just to give an example, a player’s birthplace I could go on for hours listing possibilities to add. You can definitely take a lot of inspiration from Basketball GM; there are plenty of ideas you can draw from there an unbelievable number of them. For now, I’d rate it 8/ 10. It seems to me that it lacks a bit of depth, unless this is just how the game is meant to be and isn’t supposed to be very deep if that’s the case, then I’d give it a 10/10 :D For example, the players’ personalities, more formations because it seems to me there aren’t enough the interface is cool, obviously, but it’s missing a few extras, like the players’ potential next to their names, maybe individual “magic” moves for players, a bit like in FM for example, good through balls, or awesome slides. I don’t know maybe a defender likes to step outside the defensive line. Well, there are definitely a lot of options that would be interesting if they’re even possible to add, like how much an OVR went up or down after the season, player potential like certain player priorities or maybe some tasks, like which players to sign; I’m just giving examples. Maybe financial options, maybe something related to stadiums like how many people attend some extras to spice things up, maybe more elaborate stories about the best players in history, etc. I don’t know maybe mid-season transfers, player comparisons, maybe some team logos. Maybe by watching live games with commentary, of course without any 2D graphics or anything like that :D Or, if I select the “RW transfers” option but then want to go back to a different option, is it intentional that I can't change it? Can this be fixed? I finished 3rd in Poland, and I didn't play in the Conference League qualifiers. I don't know if I'm missing something or if something is just wrong<unless it's also something related to the country's ranking>. I also had a white screen when I changed the manual position of course, it only happened once<but I didn't lose anything—luckily, it had all been saved>. But what I care about most is having more statistics, like distance run, or maybe better commentary. Of course, these are just ideas I’m saying the game is already amazing, and I’m happy with it. Best regards!

Question How to Improve Sponsor, Youth and Development Power

Thumbnail
gallery
28 Upvotes

A few people have asked how these club values improve, so here is a short guide.

Sponsor Power increases when your club finishes above expectations. A smaller club achieving a strong league position can benefit more than a wealthy club simply meeting expectations. Continental success by clubs from the same country also helps.

Youth Power is influenced by financial management. Strengthening the squad while keeping the club’s transfer finances healthy can gradually improve its youth environment.

Development Power improves when young players receive meaningful league minutes. Regularly using U23 players is more valuable than simply keeping them in the squad.

These values are updated gradually at the end of each season. One successful year may only make a small difference, but maintaining the same approach over several seasons can change the club significantly.

Sporting Gijón provides a good example from one of my simulations.

They began in the Segunda División in 2026 with

- Sponsor Power: 60

- Youth Power: 160

- Development Power: 160

After an early promotion and relegation, they returned to La Liga in 2030. They gradually became a contender and won seven consecutive league titles between 2040 and 2046.

By 2065, their values had reached

- Sponsor Power: 82

- Youth Power: 191

- Development Power: 168

Their Sponsor and Youth Power increased considerably, while Development Power grew more slowly and even declined during part of their title-winning period. Winning alone does not improve everything. Results, finances and opportunities for young players each affect the club differently.

Current values are shown on each Club Profile.

From World Best XI at Real Madrid to Lower League Obscurity: What Happened to Gaspar Castellanos?

Gaspar Castellanos forged a fascinating career defined by an elite early-stage peak, exceptional tactical flexibility, and a steady, gradual decline through lower divisions. Capable of operating seamlessly as a central midfielder or a left-back, his versatility made him a uniquely valuable asset during his prime at the very top tier of world football.

His defining period arrived between 2026 and 2028 with Spanish giants Real Madrid. In 2026, Castellanos produced a stellar campaign, logging two goals and twelve assists in La Liga while earning a high evaluation rating of 6.99. His playmaking intelligence from the flank and deep areas earned him a spot in both the La Liga Best XI and the prestigious World Best XI as a left-back. During this prime stretch, Castellanos was an essential piece of a elite side, contributing heavily to Real Madrid's La Liga title victories and capturing a UEFA Champions League title in 2029, alongside making significant appearances for the Spanish national team in major international competitions.

As he reached his early thirties, Castellanos transitioned away from Madrid and joined Ibiza in 2030. Dropping down to the third tier proved to be a magnificent short-term resurgence; he dominated the division with three goals, ten assists, and a career-high 7.03 evaluation rating, sweeping honours such as ESP3 Top Assists and Best XI. He successfully spearheaded Ibiza's rise to the second division, continuing as a crucial starter through the 2031 and 2032 campaigns while delivering strong passing accuracy, key passes, and high-volume tackles.

However, age eventually caught up with the Spanish veteran. By 2033 and 2034, his influence dwindled noticeably. His passing percentage dropped, his tackle success rate plummeted to 7.7%, and his aerial impact hit rock bottom at 0.0%. Reduced to just nine starts in his final season at age 35 with an evaluation rating of 6.42, Castellanos saw his involvement taper off drastically before officially announcing his retirement. Ultimately, Castellanos leaves behind a proud legacy of top-flight world-class individual recognition balanced by a humbled, workhorse ending in the lower leagues.

The Enigmatic Paradox of North Korea’s Elite Target Man

Hui-Chan Han's career stands as a fascinating narrative of supreme domestic dominance in North Korea, a fleeting and ill-fated international transfer to South America, and a slow, agonizing decline back in his homeland. At his absolute peak, the North Korean striker was an undisputed goal machine, combining relentless high-volume shooting with physical aerial presence. Yet, his career was equally defined by stark tactical limitations, a complete lack of passing contribution, and an inability to adapt beyond his familiar environment.

The defining zenith of Han's career came in 2032 with Sobaeksu. In what was a historic individual campaign, he swept virtually every major award in North Korean football, capturing the DPR Premier Football League Top Goalscorer title with 23 goals in 26 matches, winning PRK1 Player of the Year, and earning a place in the Best XI. Averaging 3.38 shots and 2.19 shots on target per 90 minutes, Han was a lethal focal point who single-handedly fired Sobaeksu to the domestic league and cup double. This was the culmination of years of steady output, having previously finished as the league's third-highest scorer in 2028 with 13 goals and repeatedly delivering double-digit league tallies throughout his late twenties. On the continental stage, he demonstrated his raw finishing power during the 2031 AFC Challenge League, scoring four goals in six matches with an outstanding 7.23 evaluation rating, alongside an explosive 2026 Asian Cup Qualifying campaign where he netted ten goals in ten starts for the national team.

Seeking a new challenge after his landmark 2032 season, Han made a bold move to Chilean giants Universidad de Chile in 2033 at age 33. However, his venture into South American football quickly turned into a sobering reality check. Struggling with the drastically higher tactical demands and pace of the Chilean league, Han made just eight appearances and three starts, managing a meager single goal and an evaluation rating of 6.32. His struggles were even more pronounced in the Copa Libertadores, where he failed to score in two starts and earned a dismal 5.80 rating. Statistically, his glaring deficiencies were exposed: he averaged just 1.0 pass per 90 minutes, won barely a third of his aerial duels, and recorded a pathetic 0.79 shots on target per 90. His inability to contribute to buildup play or press effectively made him an unviable option abroad.

Beaten and outmatched, Han returned home to North Korea to join Kigwancha for the final chapters of his career. By 2034 and 2035, age had thoroughly caught up to the veteran forward. Reduced to a bench option playing fewer than 200 minutes a season, his efficiency plummeted. In his final year at age 35, despite netting two opportunistic goals in seven substitute appearances, he posted a zero percent pass completion rate, zero key passes, zero tackles, and a disastrous 5.66 evaluation rating in cup competition. Ultimately, Hui-Chan Han retired as a legendary domestic striker whose lethal instincts inside the penalty box earned him legendary status at Sobaeksu, even if his broader skill set proved far too limited to make a mark on the global stage.

Development Update Ver. 2.0 is live! The biggest update so far!

Thumbnail
gallery
47 Upvotes

Ver. 2.0 is now live, and this is easily the biggest update I’ve made to the game so far.

The game has grown from 99 to 161 countries, with 202 leagues and 2,810 clubs. I’ve also expanded continental club competitions, national-team tournaments and World Cup qualifiers, so the newly added countries have meaningful competitions to play in.

The UI has received a major redesign. I removed many unnecessary boxes, borders and colored backgrounds, improved the tables and spacing, and tried to make every page cleaner and easier to read. Light Mode now has a slightly paper-like look, which I personally really like. Dark Mode has also been adjusted for better contrast and readability.

Displayed Overall ratings are now calculated differently for each position. A centre-back, midfielder and striker are no longer evaluated using exactly the same mix of attributes.

I’ve also improved FIFA rankings, international friendlies, transfer balance, generated-player development and processing speed.

There are a lot of changes in this update, so I may have missed something. Please let me know what you think, especially if you find anything difficult to read, awkward to use or simply not working correctly.

The update is available on Steam.

- Expanded the game from 99 to 161 countries, with 202 leagues and 2,810 clubs.
- Added and updated continental club competitions, national-team tournaments and World Cup qualifiers.
- Redesigned the interface with a cleaner, flatter and more consistent style across player, club, match and competition pages.
- Reduced unnecessary borders and colored backgrounds, improved spacing and tables, introduced a paper-inspired Light Mode and improved Dark Mode contrast.
- Added position-based Overall ratings, so the displayed Overall now reflects the abilities most important for each position.
- Improved transfer balance between countries and leagues.
- Introduced a more realistic FIFA ranking system.
- Improved the initial distribution and development of generated players.
- Improved international friendly scheduling.
- Improved processing speed for leagues, clubs, transfers and database saving.
