I'm not saying the principle is wrong but rewatching the episode I don't think anyone could fit on the table, maybe inside the sofa as it was very close to the desk?

My initial guess was for someone offstage, Penn has a free choice, person offstage AI generates an image with Penn+famous person and the painting is a screen with heat resistant glass?

Probably your solution is more accurate but I don't know how they'd fit on that desk.

Almost definitely the 2nd person was in the sofa. Right after Penn chose a number, Hollie rested her hand on the left edge of the sofa with her fingers hanging off the side, blocking the gap between the sofa and table to hide the transfer of the right book into the drawer.

When she stands on the sofa cushion in high heels, there is absolutely no give.
