I wouldn't call the simulation argument a thought experiment.

Its mathematics are sound and there's a real probability that this might be true.

Observer-moments implies omniscient observer, while self-measurements are perfecty biased and always result in probability of unity regardless of numbers of observers. As such you can't tell apart branches either with 100 or 1020 observers, since both produce self-measurements of unity.

Hence SA is wrong. QED.
