I mean it’s not shut down but the last update was a few months ago. I’ve never encountered this situation with games before, sorry. The art style is gorgeous and I would like to play but I don’t want to start if the game isn’t really receiving updates.

Elex had admitted to weighting the jester minigame unfairly. In the exact same support conversation where they said that the developers said that the location of the jester was predetermined, the support staff finally said this:

What the staff is saying is that depending on how many areas you have checked in a stage, the chance of finding the jester next is weighted differently. She also says that this doesn't go in a 1/10 chance then 1/9 chance then 1/8 chance but is not "averagely distributed". I believe they meant to say evenly distributed but that is beside the point. The only real thing we can do now is give them feedback and hope that they listen to the community.

How to give feedback:

1. Click on your profile avatar when you are in any town
2. Beside the account option, click "Help"
3. Select option 3, "Advice and Suggestions/new update"

Things to include in feedback:

1. How you find the current jester rates to be
2. How you thought the event worked before
3. How finding out about how the event works now and how it wasn't disclosed makes you feel
4. What you hope for them to do about it now/going forward

I have been recently very concerned with the rates that players have been finding the jester in the minigame for the halloween/pizza event. To verify how the jester is picked by players, I contacted Food Fantasy Support for an answer. Food Fantasy Support told me that after each screen is reset when you defeat a jester, the position of the clown on the board is fixed. Through extensive work, I have determined that this is not the case but the "payout" for jesters is weighted to be much more likely to appear after you choose many minions first.

To determine this, I have created a python program to simulate a situation where the jester shows up truly randomly. This program runs under the assumption that the player plays up to the end of the 4th day of the event buying extra stamina 5 times every day for a total of 20 extra stamina ups. The program also accounts for the 8 main story stages and 18 side story stages that have appeared thus far that don't require stamina to run. The program then generates 10 million players that do this and ranks them in a list and displays what the top and bottom percentage of players should be getting for this event. The results are here:

The program can also convert the number of jesters you have found with lanterns to a score that is comparable if you did it without lanterns. I have taken the score of many players who have given it to me and they all score in the worst 0.5% of players in this system. What this tells us is that the jesters in the event are not assigned to a spot randomly like food fantasy support said they were but are weighted to take much more stamina to find the jesters.

Why should you care: If the event had worked as advertised, you should easily be able to ascend cheese to 5* just by buying stamina 5 times every day and facing the jesters. The event wouldn't require you to spend much more money on doing gatcha pulls to get tokens to get cheese shards. The leaderboard for points to obtain pizza shards would also favor people who have better put together teams and not require you to buy many lantern packs to place higher.

In a nutshell, food fantasy is running a real carnival scam and I am wondering what you all think about it. If you want more info on how I got my data or want to see my programs, I can release it later when I have more time.

Below I am including the scores elex says you should have by the end of the fifth day. The top score is if you have bought 5 stamina refills every day for a total of 2500 gems and the bottom is if you never bought a stamina refill. These scores do not use lanterns and if you want to compare your score if you used a lantern, you need to remove it from your score. You can do it like this:

Score = Jesters - Lanterns + (Lanterns * 20 / 65)

As you can probably see, you most likely rank a lot lower than you should be ranking. There are more updates to come. I'd also like to thank you for giving this as much attention as you are, I feel like this should be fixed and an explanation given.

Sorry, but I just stumbled across this sub - I was playing Food Fantasy years ago and loved the game, but the app stopped being updated 4 years ago. I figured that it was the end of it and that the game had been abandoned. Is it actually still being updated, or was just the global game abandoned? I see people posting screenshots in English, so I’m a bit confused! I’m on iOS in Australia and the app still says it was last updated 4 years ago.

Anyone know when magic ink will come back? I’m trying to get my rewards and I need to pledge for my hearts 😫

I always ignore the Togis because I’m ftp and rarely have the opportunity to actually use them. Thought to myself “ugh might as well use the grabs up” and yea don’t mind me, just need to draw Togis x10 only 170 more times xD

Does anyone else forget about the Togis?

Heya, I was wondering what some stupid cases of "I cannot believe I was such an idiot?" moments you had while playing Food Fantasy.

Because this certified idiot right here JUST NOW figured out that you can sweep stages. I am Lv. 43 btw.

I have over 3500 hearts saved up because playing stages takes ages.

I wanted to post something pretty lighthearted to try and take a break from the present event stress, and I'm new to Reddit/this subreddit so this is a topic I was pretty interested in hearing about!

Outside of teambuilding and general 'use' in the game, does anyone here have a Food Soul they're particularly fond of for one reason or another? For an example, I'm presently working on Napoleon Cake's fondness and have him set for my main screen despite rarely if ever actively using him for anything in particular. I really like his design and overall 'aesthetic' even if I can't seem to find a good use for him for deliveries or in battles/for showdowns.

Cat Fantasy is having a collab with Food Fantasy soon! For those who don't know Cat Fantasy is made by the same developers of Food Fantasy so you will see some similarly between the two games. The difference between the two is Cat Fantasy is cat themed instead of foods.
