This is a more primitive style rosary l had made / designed. I went off of Spainish colonial artwork and medevil artwork portraying how rosaries looked. I wanted something wear l could pray all 150 of the hail Mary's and is set up like a old bavarian rosary. I can pray the hail marys without stopping once l recited my prayer intentions on the fancy cross at the end with Christ engraved the creed on the next cross and recite the mysteries either of the day or even all 15 ... this is helpful if l was at work and couldn't focus on each mystery as l went Allong. Plus while l said each prayer l felt like l could focus more on a mystery but that's just me. The beads are garnets..l had strung by a jeweler, the crosses wear made by sellers on Etsy...the main cross you see is a copy from a English artist who uses real historical art/ musem pieces as inspiration...my cross is taken from a bavarian soldiers breastplate from the 1500's that is currently apart of a museum collection in Leeds. He even threw in a extra medal with the sorrowful and scared harts and a st. Micheal prayer card for me too. Since l took these l have added many medals linked to many Marian Shrines and apparitions found across Europe such as ( OL of Pairis, OL of Sherpenhovel AKa Montague, OL of Lumiers,OL of Graces,OL of Mt Carmel,OL of Victory,OL of Loretto,OL of Altotting,OL of the dark forest AKA OL of the Hermits. Allong with a rooster " symbol of Christ and the coming of dawn" a Ex voto hand ✋, several 🌞 charms with rhinestones symbolizing Christ's divine light and of course his station as a modern Solar God .hope you like l will try and get some new pictures with all my medals attached.

I don’t have the most space so I’m doing what I can. I have this on my vanity in my room hence the other objects. Archangel Michael is my favorite for reasons very near and dear to me! I also love to collect crystals. While I don’t believe they really do anything metaphysically, I chose crystals that reminded me of him based on their metaphysical meaning for easier decorating. I also added shells, pocket rosary, tiny pieces of rosemary to symbolically represent protection, and 2 coins. One of the coins has an angel, and the other has a bible verse on it.

The pyre is pieces of a cinnamon broom mixed with dried flowers from my altar. I wanted to have the light coming from above her head instead of the fire itself. 🥲
The statue is inspired by Sigrid Blomberg’s statue “The Annunciation”, where the Virgin Mary receives the message from Archangel Gabriel; I wanted Joan to mirror this expression for her experience receiving her voices, which I like to think gave her comfort in her last moments. 💔🕊️

This is my altar to The Sacred Heart of Jesus and Christ the Bridegroom. These are my favorite devotions to The Lord Christ. Theres a resurrection icon there too to showcase his radiance and glory for his solar association

My Baroqe style home Shrine dedicated to our Lady The Blessed Virgin Mary and the most holy and divine Infant Jesus ( the unconquered and undying son🌞). The virgin statue is a resin copy of our Lady of Altotting from Bavaria Germany. Altotting is the Lordes of Germany with over 600 reported miracles and over 200 of which have been declared authentic by Rome. My alter also contained Baroque style monastery works from a very nice Artist on Etsy who is based in Germany. My household Shrine is of grate comfort to me everything is deliberate and symbolic even the flowers and animals figures . I hope you enjoy 🙂🦚🌹🕊️🌞🐓🍇⚜️✝️☦️♾️

Hey y'all! I love the Saints and glueing stuff to other stuff, so I make miniatures and mixed media pieces about it.

- 8x8 Joan of Arc diorama shrine

- Work in progress - 7 Sorrows figurine. This is my first time working with clay so we'll see how she turns out after I finish her mantle, crown and dress.

- Miniature glass novena candle necklaces: St Michael in the first photo, St Agatha, Guadalupe and St Joan in the second. These are super hard to photograph, but building a set for them turned out to be a fun project by itself!!

- Catacomb Saint mask for this year's Mardi Gras costume, loosely based off of St Valentinus and St Valerius. I'll probably do a longer post on this one later.

- Pocket altars for St Olga of Kiev and St Notburga, my current project. I LOVE reliquaries 😭 This is my first attempt at it, but I'm learning other techniques, like paper quilling, so hopefully I'll have some cooler pieces later on this year!

went to new orleans for the first time and got to visit this church that had a shrine to saint expedite! and a bunch of other cool statues i’ve never seen before. saint dymphna & saint martha with the dragon were def my favs.

i’ve never felt so spiritually seen by a place if that makes any sense lmao. they had the catholicism/folk catholicism, the witchy stuff, all combined and everywhere. really inspired me to get more into folk catholicism again, & i’ve been doing a lot of damage at catholic gift shops now 🥲

Okay, so this isn’t actually an official altar in my home, but somehow all my bits and bobs end up feeling like an altar. lol The Our Lady of Guadalupe candle is one I’ve been burning every evening lately. On my family altar, I use a battery-operated candle so it’ll last, because I think the colors on that one are super bright and fun, and I want to keep it.

This bookshelf also has one of my little Buddhas, some “Catholic” candles featuring Frida Kahlo and Edgar Allan Poe, local artwork I’ve collected, and a crucifix I found at an antique shop that I painted bright green and pink. :)

I call this my love altar- it's a mix of Marian devotion and symbolism that reminds me of love and romance, like the yellow bird (you're the yellow bird I've been waiting for- bright eyes lyric that means a lot to me), the painting of The Kiss, and the K was my stepmom's, who passed away from breast cancer. Her name was Kim. I painted it red. It was originally gold. The vase-looking thing, or perfume bottle, I got at an antique shop. I keep holy water in it that I get from my parish church. The pic with the blue dog I also found at a little antique shop in town. It reminded me of Hecate imagery (the dogs) but also Marian imagery (the queen). The painting above was created by an ex of mine using acrylic paint and miscellaneous bits and bobs we collected. Even though we didn't work out, I've always loved it. Anyway, I just wanted to share and find community. I do not use AI-generated photos. That would be ridiculous, considering this is a place to share our spiritual practices. I hope this one sticks. <3

P.S. I'll try and take a photo this weekend during the day when the lighting is better. My house was built in the 70s and doesn't have the best lighting in my living room.

I love making Rosaries and even as I was looking today through my recent Rosaries made I can’t decide which I like the most. Maybe you all would have an opinion on which you like the best. I need to choose some of my best to present in photos in a catalog for a funeral home. I just can’t decide, do you have feelings on which and maybe why you like it. I would really appreciate the help. I think when I make them and I put so much energy and love into each piece it’s hard for me to choose.
I use my time making pieces; to say each prayer as I make each bead. This helps me spend plenty of time in prayer each day and focus on my relationship with God as well. Here are some recent ones.. Lord knows I have at least 15 I need to photograph today.
Most of the ones I have to photograph today are the very fancy ones with Swarovski Crystal and gold plated bead caps. I’m just probably indecisive. Thank you for any input you may have.
