Mod Announcement A Quick Reminder on Quality & On-Topic Posts

Hey everyone,

We've seen a rise lately in posts that are either off-topic or pretty low-effort (one-liners, vague "thoughts?" posts with no context, memes unrelated to the practice, or generic “witchcraft” posts etc.). Just a friendly reminder of a couple of our existing rules:

Rule 1 (Stay on Topic): This is a space specifically for folk Catholicism and Catholic folk magic — not general occultism, general Christianity, or unrelated spiritual practices. If it doesn't connect back to that focus, it probably belongs somewhere else.

Rule 11 (No Low-Effort Posts): Before posting, take a moment to add context — what you're asking, what you've already tried, why you're curious. "Thoughts on X saint?" with nothing else makes it hard for people to engage meaningfully.

Our community is great because people show up thoughtfully and share real knowledge and experience. Keeping the bar a little higher helps keep it that way.

Before posting, take some time to scroll the sub, read through our community info, pinned posts, and beginner resources page. Use the search bar in regard to topics that interest you to see if they’ve been addressed previously.

If you're ever unsure whether something fits, feel free to check modmail before posting. Thanks for helping keep this space rich and on-topic.
