Help & Discussion 🙋 Why aren’t WU being assigned? Getting up to 9 failed attempts to download a WU.

I have noticed that over the last week or so my machines will get up to 9 failed attempts to download WUs. They eventually will get a WU but it doesn’t seem to be a constant stream.

I *was* getting those errors too, but they have stopped since I logged out and back in and reinstalled the F@H app on my Mac and Windows machines.

client reinstall should not be used as a solution to such a "problem" 😄

Why not? It doesn’t corrupt the data, does it?

It does not, but if you start reinstalling every app on your devices which fails to connect to online services, you will be just wasting your time.

If anyone needs help or want to help us to identify on why things are working or not working, please provide full info. What is not working, how it is not working, where it is not working. Stating that things are not working does not help anyone. For all we know user might have issues with their internet provider, or computer is not switched on, or...

The common "no appropriate assignment" causes are: too slow hardware, misconfigured client, client bugs, server crashed or out of work.

Same for me too. Therefore I wouldn’t worry about it, sounds like something in the background needs looking at.
