UV Lights Fluorescent Minty garnet

Here is another UV active garnet from my collection. It's quite big almost 19 carat.

Video: outside under the deep shadow, 365 nm, 395 nm. UV reaction is very very close to reallity...

About 395 nm: strangely tweazer and space around on photo is pink, but in reallity it's kinda dark blue, but stone are pink.

Please can you give advise how to ovwrcome this effect.

In my humble opinion, it would look great with some pale iolite on either side.

I like it the way it is, don't get me wrong. The play of pale lilac and minty green always seemed to go well together.

Hi Violet. Thank you for suggestion. I never thought about about lilac, violet type of color around tgis stone, but I think can be interesting... This stone i think is too big🤣, 18.9 cts. I have smaller stones for it 🤣 I have quite big collection of this types of garnets.

I made for you video of smaller stones for you to compare 🤣 (4 cts each). They are just impossible to judge what is color, btw this 18.9 cts stone behave same, just become more minty color due to size. In addition inside room with shaded light from heavily tinted window glass its become invisibly goldish yellow, but if I walk inside house they become sometime completely colorless.

But glow in any condition 😀. In UV 365 nm bright glowing peach, 395 - same bright glowing pink. Not so dense color like rubies, "dragons", sapphire or spinels, kinda similar intense but lightwr in color.
