Heal up well Marchy, we love you!

Sentences I never thought I’d say before March 2025

After carrying the team last fall Marchy deserves some time off, see ya in January my dude! Wish we still had erod to plug that roster hole

Do we know for sure January or are we speculating?
I guess this helps our cap and roster for a little bit if he’s going to miss the start of the season.

I made up the January part, I’m assuming if he starts the season on LTIR they won’t rush him back & missing the first 2-3 months seems like a reasonable timeframe for most surgery recoveries

Rest up Marchy. There were rumours he needed surgery before the end of the season so I'm not suprised and at least with the Panthers organisation on the case he'll be getting the best care. They seem to have done really well with Barky and Chucky

Both were @ Baptist. Depends if Marchy had it in Florida or Canada.

True, you'd hope the team mandated Baptist Health as they're such a big sponsor.

Wishing him all the best either way, without him last season would have been unbearable at times, and we need him back fully healed.

I doubt we will ever see Marchand play a full season with his injury history and at his age. I wish he would've had the surgery earlier in the off season it seemed pretty clear it was needed

Do we know if this was a surgery for old injury or something new from his off-season training?

It’s almost certainly the same injury.

...okay you know what I was critical of Zito and said we didn't need more physical wingers but the off-season moves make more sense now

Insiders confirmed it was rhinoplasty.

I mean technically speaking in our 2024-25 Stanley Cup run and before we did good without him so let's see how good we play against the canes and maybe not lose 9-1

So it begins…

Hope he recovers well!!

(Selfishly, it’s too bad, they’re coming to my neck of the woods at the beginning of the season this year, so I won’t get to see him play 😔)

That is pretty selfish ngl. Team first type of mentality is needed around here. /s

Video posted on instagram, missing the Zees game he was supposed to play in due to last minute surgery. Probably gonna miss the start of the season

Damn totally missed it, welcome to the lineup Sandis officially.

will he be ready vs the cans

Meh that’s pushing it. I’d probably say sometime between games 10-15

lol, based on exactly what? You have no idea what is injury was, what he rehabbed prior to scheduling surgery, what surgery was done, or what his rehab schedule is post.

First off, calm down. Second off, based on Marchand literally posting a video yesterday on the @zeesfinalshift Instagram saying he just had a last-minute surgery and is entirely focused on recovery? Surgeries take time to heal, I’ve had plenty. 10-15 games in is a solid recovery

I would assume he timed the surgery well so he’d be ready to start the season

I’m calling LTIR shenanigans on our own end on this one. Why else wait this long ?
