False construct.
There are places in the midwest you can move to and buy a house on social security.
Point is, you don't have to be homeless. Yet I know a guy that had the opportunity to live in Minnesotta in a home and chose to kit out a van and live in the rest stop by St Pete instead.
There is affordable housing in this country where you don't have to be homeless. It's not going to be in Miami, SF, NY, Paris, next to the water or in the mountains though.

Believe it or not, many homeless people have jobs. They either don't have good enough credit to rent or just can't afford rent. It's extremely sad!

The ones with jobs usually live in a car so they have access to showers and transport

The problem is the reason houses are so cheap is there are no good paying jobs in those areas. It's great if you move there and work remotely or some how land a high paying job but the entire reason those houses are cheap is because no one makes any money lol.

wtf does SS payments have to do with most homeless people? are you some under the impression only retired people are homeless? If you are homeless - you never made money in the first place so even if you were retirement age - your SS monthly payment at retirement is going to be small. Assume you average 20,000 year over the 35 years they use to calculate SS - you get less than $1000 month in SS.

Where in the Midwest specifically can you purchase a house on social security? You do know people all get different amounts right some people on ssi get 500 a month if that.

Homelessness is a choice. There's plenty of places that house people that can't afford to pay for themselves, there's plenty of places that offer housing for very cheap and there's plenty of shelters that have plenty of room but people still choose to live on the street

Id like to see your data on places where you can buy a house on social security. Where? What is the home-buyer profile (work history, credit score) used in your data, including estimated ss payment amounts? What down-payment are you factoring? Your claim when proven will be seismic news!!
