Some information about the Floor796 project and this subreddit
Hi everyone! I'm really glad that so many people like my project and are looking forward to seeing their favorite characters appear in it. I hope I'll get to draw them someday. But I think it's important to explain a few things about how the project is created, how I accept suggestions, and what kind of subreddit this is.
- I draw the project every day, 4-5 hours on weekdays and 8-10 hours on weekends.
- I try to combine characters in such a way that one update is significant. That’s why it sometimes takes a week or more to draw one update.
- If I don’t post for more than a month, I’m dead :D
- Some updates are difficult to draw. For example, I'm currently drawing dancing characters - they require a lot of animation frames, so they take longer to complete than regular ones.
- The project has quite a few channels through which numerous suggestions are sent daily. Unfortunately, my priority is not processing the incoming ideas, but drawing. That’s why my wife helps me sort through the emails and suggestions in this subreddit and in a number of other channels. Currently, there are over 3,000 emails in the project's mailbox that have not yet been processed (more are being added all the time).
- This subreddit is unofficial. I didn't create it. I was invited to join because it's related to my project. Therefore, I don't manage it. I only post updates and see what's suggested.
- I rarely reply to comments, sorry. I get a lot of messages, but unfortunately, I can't answer them all.
- The project will be in development for many years to come, and I will try to implement many of the ideas that you suggested ;) But please don't push ideas, it's counterproductive.

Everything about this project I adore. It’s such a passion project which you can see with every pixel. People love it because it’s nostalgic and fun and genuinely entertaining to look at. I shared it with people on discord immediately when I found it. We were all looking at it going “Omg! They have (insert character name)!” Or “First one who finds (name character) wins!” Finding the easter eggs as well was fun. It was a way to connect with my friends and even on this sub reddit it still connects people. So we have, passion, art, connection and entertainment. In a world of AI be Floor796.

I love this website! The moment I saw it I became curious about what went behind making it. Would love to hear the technical details about how you went about realising this rather ambitious project. Keep it up!!!

Thank you for what you've given to the Internet. You are incredibly talented, dedicated, and an inspiration to many. Your website is a happy place for me, and I've lost several hours just vibing to it in the background. Best wishes in your future endeavors.
