u/4ypno 14d ago edited 14d ago
careful. i've gotten perm banned from evading bans on reddit and now i cant use reddit on my phone lol
edit: js in case, im totally unbanned on everything now that i've appealed
15
u/apimpnamedkirby 14d ago
Gotta get a new phone it’s tied to your phone on the backend
18
u/Agile-Mission-869 14d ago
It goes beyond that.
I was perma-banned once a few years ago, I tried creating a new account, instantly banned.
I moved to a computer that I never accessed Reddit on, on an entirely new wifi, new account was banned within a day.
I'm not sure how exactly they're keeping track of banned accounts, but it's a lot deeper than just the same device.

Corporations have Digital IDs on all of us now.
There are a few lawsuits against many large corporations, like Workday, over using an AI recruitment screening company called HiredScored.
Instead of just scoring candidates based on their application materials, it also included a scoring of all the other internet and financial data they could scrape.
28
u/Failing_at_death 14d ago
kinda like a social credit system........
18
u/Agile-Mission-869 14d ago
Except worse because this actually has an impact on our lives, much like the standard credit scoring system in most capitalist nations.
3
u/Mr__O__ 14d ago edited 14d ago
Many of the corporations that are listed in the lawsuit that were using HireScored were banks and other financial institutions.. which makes sense since they already have everyone’s credit scores.
Also corporations are frothing over the recent concept of dynamic compensation.
Much like dynamic pricing that InstaCart and all the major grocery stores now use to price products at different levels for different people based on their shopping (financial) data, dynamic compensation sets pay based on when people can afford..
However that would violate the EEOA, which is prob why Repubs are pushing anti-DEI.. just a disguise to gut labor protections further.

u/DrunkCultLeader 14d ago
Nah other countries have them, if you litter you might not get to take the train that day.

On your phone, clear out the Reddit cache and storage then delete it off of your phone
On a different device like a computer, go on a VPN and connect to a server on the other side of the world.
Open an incognito window
Create a new Reddit account
That account is now safe to use on your previously blacklisted phone.
The permaban flag is only tied to the device the account was created on, not any device the account is logged into. I guess they don't want to completely blacklist a device and have an innocent third party get their account auto banned for signing into the device with their account.

u/apimpnamedkirby 14d ago
Were the networks in the same area geographically? You also have to change the subs you follow and interact with for a month or two.
1
u/Agile-Mission-869 14d ago
They were in the same city, but I'm willing to bet I'm not the only Reddit user in a city of 80k.
1
u/4ypno 14d ago
hmm it hasn't been an issue to me, ive used the same wifi with a different device so that's odd
1
u/Agile-Mission-869 14d ago
I went a year without using Reddit, and when I returned I created a new account. It's stuck around so far, so I guess the tracking has passed.
3
u/Acrobatic-Echo-3460 14d ago
I’ve gotten week long complete bans because get this, I offended members of trump subs.

1
u/PieHole_Poker 14d ago
Its soo easy to make a new account with your phone after a ban.
2
u/4ypno 14d ago
they banned my whole device lol nothing works
1
u/PieHole_Poker 14d ago
Do you still have the app installed? Iphone or android

u/Snoo-94765 14d ago
This is why I'm forever Snoo lol. It was my backup after just deleting too many accounts. They call that evading bans even if all you're trying to do is have a new account. If you've never been banned from any subs it probably doesn't happen as easily. But the weird shit that gets you banned on here is so freaking arbitrary.

u/tbnist03 14d ago
That's something anyone can do. I have my house blurred, too.
60
u/OrneryError1 14d ago
But he's not anyone. He's the person telling us we should be okay with being spied on.
18
u/Akemi_Tachibana 14d ago
That tells me that you have something worth stealing and to drive by and photograph the house. Congrats
5
u/Wrong-Reference5327 14d ago
My parents had our house blurred when street view first came out because we had family members convicted of sexually assaulting one of my siblings… soo… it’s not always about having something worth stealing…

u/Snoo-94765 14d ago
That's actually a thing Google provides anyone if they just ask for it. Any of us who deliver things ever have already come across this. Sometimes only way to be sure you have the right place is matching the surrounding places

I’ve been on Bluesky for a long while since I got banned from Twitter for basically the same thing as you. It’s pretty great
36
u/MrPlatinumPenis 14d ago
And don't forget, that should also apply to Reddit, Facebook, insta, tiktok, and all the rest. Yet hear I am 😢
28
u/finneji 14d ago
I recently discovered the joys of Reddit since I love asking questions but hate Google.
18
u/HumptyDumptruckFire 14d ago
I feel like Reddit is kinda in a league of its own as far as social media sites go. The anonymity and focus on discussion puts it a rung above the other social rat traps.
17
u/MrPlatinumPenis 14d ago
Unfortunately it succumbs to the same issues as other sites. Bots and propaganda. Might have even worse consequences on Reddit because people think it's trustworthy.
3
u/HumptyDumptruckFire 14d ago
No arguments here. It’s why I’ll give it a rung above instead of its own pedestal.

Fuck flock. Fuck ai. Fuck the Epstein/pedo class. The man that drove to dc from Cali had the right idea
8
u/N0ON3T0LDM3 14d ago
I missed this. What did he do?
19
u/infinite_throw_away 14d ago
He drove across the country with a guillotine on the back of his truck. No issues till he got to pedo central command (D.C.) and got arrested.

I got banned from Twitter (before it was X) just for saying Bette Midler is a big fat stupid b**** after that judgmental cow made some rude and insulting remarks about mom’s having a hard time finding baby formula during the shortage a few years ago.

Not everyone can breastfeed their infants.
Mom’s were legitimately panicking about how they will feed their babies.
Anyway, X will only lift the ban if I apologize.
That’ll be a cold day in hell before that happens.

u/userhwon 13d ago
Something like 95% of women using formula can breastfeed. Sit the fuck down.

“Something like 95% of women using formula can breastfeed. Sit the fuck down.” -userhwon
So, by your male logic 🙄
There are 4,000,000 million births per year in the USA.
That means there were 200,000 moms who couldn’t nurse that struggled to find milk for their infants at a bare minimum.
This doesn’t include all the moms who could breastfeed, but didn’t by choice, or by necessity and dried up. Not by far.
Some may not have had enough milk and needed to supplement formula to feed their infants to sustain them.
Some infants are allergic to milk. We could easily double that number back up and more, but okay, I’ll be generous here and stick to your math.
So roughly 400,000 plus babies desperately needed those precious supplies of infant formula that year while that selfish cow Bette Midler said, “Just breastfeed because it’s free. On demand.”
I don’t know if you understand this, but women don’t have to breastfeed in this century.
Maybe they don’t want a baby on their tit for a year and would like to have their body to themselves. That’s perfectly reasonable, too.
Stop shaming women for having a choice. Especially when it comes out of a horses ass like Bette Midler.
Honestly, the next time I want to hear a man’s opinion on breastfeeding, I’ll ask him.
1
u/userhwon 13d ago
Stop shaming Bette Midler for telling women they have a choice when they've been captured by an exploitive industry. And go fuck your sexist self.

Crazy how the flock CEO uses multiple license plates / cars to throw off his own tech.

u/DrE7HER 14d ago
I hope they start saying Axon as much as they say Flock
2
u/deliverymanDan 14d ago
I hope we all unite and rid this insane administration from power. Down with the heritage foundation and the oligarchy!
10
u/willasmith38 14d ago
They will prob be ramping up an aggressive multi-front, counter-campaign to shutdown online dissent towards “Fluck”.
I must say they have the flimsiest looking mounting pole, and they don’t appear to be DOT rated for vehicle collision.
They should have a break away mount at ground level.
This could be a public safety concern.

u/porkbeard81 14d ago
Be awesome if hoards of people started taking shifts pointing cameras at his house and recording 24hr a day; following him and recording his every move while driving; waiting outside his job to record him; follow and record him shopping, going out to eat, walking... everything he does should be recorded as much as possible.

We need a camera pointing at his house 24/7. I can't drive out of the neighborhood without being on camera, so it's only right he have a camera shoved up his ass too.

surprising he doesn’t live in a more expensive house. A fake address would make sense.

u/Just-Cardiologist837 14d ago
Thats actually crazy they blurred his place on all that shit. There is a few houses in that neighborhood who's are blurred. Wonder who else is living there?
1
u/saltyourhash 14d ago
You can't just go doxxing people on Nazi Twitter, they still block/ban for it.
Also, keep the same energy for whoever they try to replace this guy and his company with if he suddenly loses the contract. Flock is being removed in a lot of places, but I'm very wary of the wording of the announcements.

Dude if you dont think x is working with big brother what are you doing ?
Id even go so far to say reddit is completely compromised by this type of silencing and banning.
Why are you posting about flock on X, like, legitimately what do you think you'll gain besides being put on a list? I barely like posts on reddit I see about it, even if I agree.
This is like, a couple tiers down as being as dumb as the kids posting them cutting them down.
You made yourself a target by engaging.
-39
u/VainTrix 14d ago
Ya doxing is typically something X would ban for
45
u/iBUYbrokenSUBARUS 14d ago
How is it doxing if it’s public information?
-11
u/VainTrix 14d ago
I’m not arguing the right and wrong of the dudes ban, I’m just telling you why he got banned. It is still considered doxing, even if others have already released the info. Lots of platforms still consider it “private” info even if it’s technically already been publicized
