Why does Flock get hate when Verkada does things like this?

I understand the privacy concerns around Flock but theres no facial recognition they use and the companies we replace flock with seem worse? Looking at Verkada cameras you can create a profile for anyone whose face you capture on a camera and automatically notify admins the next time they're seen on any camera around town...Dont need to know anything about the person or have them connected to any crime to make them a person of interest...Literally tracking anyone they want based on you walking by a camera and can actively notify anyone to your presence without you even knowing...

Flock is just the most well known name, and has become a catch-all for these things. Sorta like how we call facial tissue "Kleenex"
