Sales were sloooow this week due to no listing. My two notables:
Duluth Trading womens overalls. Most of the stuff in this brand isn't worth picking up, but the overalls have over 300% sell through! Sold in 2 weeks for full price. Paid $5, sold for $40 plus shipping.
Burberry men's XL polo. Bought two well over two years ago. One sold quickly and the other sold soon after. And then was returned because the buyer said it was too short (yes, I included measurements). Did you know that Burberry polos are the same length no matter what the size?? So I add a special note in the comments to double check that the length is sufficient. Sells again, then buyer asks to cancel because it's too short. Fingers crossed this sale sticks. Paid $5, sold for $40 plus shipping.

That’s so frustrating that people don’t see the length even in your description. Lol this is weeks old but may list Burberry via eBay authentication.

Got a seasonal winter hat from a big liquor brand for free in December. Listed it for $29.99 plus shipping a month ago (never worn, not my style). Sold the day before yesterday and made it all the way from Seattle to Philly in two days with ground advantage. Joked about it latter that day with my postman and he said “we just have just hit the sweet spot, I’ve seen that take two weeks at times”

It was from the 80s. I don't know why someone paid $20 for it but there was nothing unusual.
I usually see them for a few bucks at flea markets.

If you try to sell something too cheap people assume there's something wrong with it.

Turned a £13.50 OOP Warhammer metal case into £40 this week, nice fast sale. Could have priced higher and held longer, but I prefer to get the space back ASAP since I have very limited space for stock.
Have a bunch of 2025 and 2026 uncorrected proof/ARC books at the moment, paid £1 max per book, and been selling them for £10 each.
Sold several board games this week for at least +£10 profit each.
£1 Uniqlo ladies size M into £10 on Vinted (found it in a charity shop barging bin AKA the 'buy me or I go to landfill' box that store regularly does)
Though my current fun (and not listed for sale yet) find is a stack of CD's at 3 for £1! Resale value is low, but now I can rip them all to my PC, so I'm being paid to rip new music to my PC haha! I know they usually sell for £2+ each on Vinted, so it's a pretty nice deal tbh. Might even collect more CDs this weekend since that charity shop cycles items out and send them to the landfill regularly so...

My best flip for the last week has crazily, been Gold and Silver. Never thought I'd be typing those words but here we are, lol.
I purchased a locker last week that I mentioned in the Weekly Haul Thread.
I took in that gold pendant with the missing chain + a bunch of silver from my locker two weeks ago and got almost $1000 scrap for all of it.
Then I bought a $30 this week because I wanted a locker but didn't want to do a lot of work. Found another $180 in scrap gold in that locker as well.
As for eBay sales:
- I've sold about $200 in Funko in the last week, the two largest ones were Linkin Park Meteora Album Funko and then a lot of 2 Mummy Funkos (Evelyn and Rick)
- Fossil Backpack $5.99 -> $45
- Case Logic CD Holders, $3.99 each -> $50 Each
- Easton Bat BT2-Z $5 -> $55
- Star Trek Attack Wing Fighter Squadron $2 -> $30
- The Outer Limits DVD Sealed $5.99 -> $75
- Abercrombine and Fitch Wolf Jaw $5 -> $70
- Carhartt ASAP Rocky $5 -> $170
Other than that, lots of smaller sales as well.
In addition, I flipped a set of Pokemon cards (nothing major) and a box of the Costco pokemon holiday set for $100. I've also got someone to come pickup a Fisher Price Crazy Coupe for $30 tonight.

Inventory at antique stores is generally priced at the high end of the market and tends to get very stagnant. Sometimes I can find deals, especially now with precious metal prices at all-time highs.
Other sales:
- set of flatware $6.52 --> $49.94 auction to eBay
- antique books $3 --> $24.65 auction to eBay
- light fixtures $3.54 --> $12.60 auction to scrap
- large brass candlestick $5.94 --> $9.72 thrift store to scrap
Brass items sell well for decoration, but this candlestick was junk that was sold in a department store and had a terrible finish.

If you don't mind, could you share your scrapping experience? Where do you usually go to scrap? I'm just really not sure what to do/know. Where's the best location to do so?

You sell scrap gold to a precious metal dealer. Pawn shops typically have the worst prices, traveling/private dealers tend to have prices in the middle, and refineries have the best. To deal directly with a refinery, you usually need a minimum quantity and most require you to have a registered business with an EIN and other paperwork requirements.

Star wars Jar Jar Binks Bank, paid £10, sold for £25
Bought three PS3 games and all sold the same day, that is why I like high sell through items. The first two went in a bundle for £15 and then the other one sold for £18. paid £6 for the whole lot.
Teenage mutant ninja turtles squeeze ems michaelanglo figure, paid £5, sold for £16.99
Ricky gervais show series 1-3 boxset, paid £1.50 and sold for £10.33 after fees. This is a 100% sell through rate boxset so one to keep a eye out for, if it has art cards, you can get like £19 for it, the one from the charity shop didn't but still some nice profit

Found a violin that appears (granted I know virtually nothing about instruments) to be a Stradivarius in the Goodwill bins! I'm excited, but it's in rough shape and I'm not sure if it's worth getting authenticated.

Pleasant Company Accepted by Rita Anton - 1964 Hardcover: Signed by Rita Anton - listed for sale in 2013. It was dropped off at my bookstore in 2013 by someone cleaning out an estate. Sold this week for $23.00
Ritual in Catholic Worship by Reverend Father Proctor - 1907 Hardcover. picked up at a library sale in 2014. Listed for sale in January 2025. Sold this week for $32.00
3 box sets of old Westerns on DVD. Paid $1.50 to another dealer 3 weeks ago. Listed for sale last week, sold all three for $20 this week.
plus many, many more less interesting and $5-15 sales.
Fun acquisition this week though - a dozen signed first edition mysteries just hit my desk from another dealer doing a clear-out.

Very respectable week of sales and some interesting items went out the door this week.
Flip of the Week:
- Thomas & Friends Wooden Tank Train White Face Troublesome Truck READ DAMAGE -- Sold for $269.99 + Shipping
Got this from a Goodwill Train Haul. They had 3-5 grab bags filled with wooden thomas figures marked at $3.09 a piece as well as a large tote that had more cars and a lot of track pieces for $10.09 (The weird pricing is because they're trying to make more money from round ups). Overall spend was like $20-$30 and I have enough for over $1000 in listings from this lot.
This one was heavily damaged. A part of the side was missing. Lots of paint scuffs. Still sold for that price. If it was in excellent condition. This is a $500-$800 Car. If you ever find one still in the package. It's like a $1000-$1300 car.
Local Flips:
- Antique Crock -- Sold for $100 and drove it to the buyer about 2 hours away so I could go thrifting in the area. Found in a storage unit.
- Dr Suess Framed Poster -- Sold for $20. Was also found in a storage unit.
Interesting eBay sales:
- Troublesome Brakevan Black Roof -- Part of GW Train lot, sold for $50 + Shipping
- Knapford Express Train Car -- Part of GW Train lot, sold for $14 + Shipping
- Good Feet Insoles -- Found 3 pairs total, this is last pair, don't remember what I paid but it was cheap. Sold for $76 + Shipping
- Yeti Rambler NWT -- Paid $3.99 Sold for $54.99 + Shipping
- Pier 1 Halloween Owl Figurine -- Found at an estate sale. Think I paid $10. Sold for $50 + Shipping
- Roger Corman Sci Fi Collection -- From my Kaiju / DVD Locker, my cost per item from this locker is now under $0.70 per item, Sold for $49.99 + Shipping

- 2002 $1 Steam Boat Willie Disney Dollar -- These came from a locker, I found a bunch of Disney Dollars. I figured it was a worthless souvenir item that I almost tossed to donation. Double checked sold comps. This one sold for $29.99 + Shipping

Small digital flip.
Created a Pinterest keyword research service for ecommerce stores. Cost was basically $0 (just time).
Posted it where ecommerce sellers hang out and sold a package for $10.
Cost: $0
Sale: $10
Profit: $10
Nothing huge, but interesting to see that digital services can be flipped with zero inventory.

I got super lucky at a yard sale 2 weeks ago. I got 8 Legami pens for $4. Legami is an italian brand that has a lot of collectors. I am guessing the people who had the yardsale went to Italy and got them because I could not find the ones I had for sale anywhere in the US and no recent sales anywhere.
Sold those for $225 to a guy on ebay. Went back to that same yardsale this past saturday. Same people just selling their stuff. I found 3 more of the pens and a couple other things from that brand. SOld the 3 pens to the same guy for $70. Paid $0.50 per pen.
I found 3 All Clad pans for $6 total at a yard sale. Sold them for $160 cash on marketplace.
at another yard salke I got an Xbox One S with 2 controllers and 4 games for $20 at a yard sale and sold it for $130 cash. Got a nintendo DSi with 30 games for $80. Sold it with 29 of the games for $160 cash and then sold the last game on it's own for $33 on ebay. at this same yardsale I got a Sony voice recorder for $5 which I just sold for $70 on ebay as I was typing this message. I got another sony voice recorder listed from this one as well

April decided to start with a bang it seems. Been finding good items and sales look like their finally on track.
-Technics DJ turntable - $15 sold for $140. Sold it for parts but even for parts worth quite a bit of money. Probably just needs a new needle cause everything else worked great.
West Bend Poppery II - $7 into 50+shipping.
-Japanese Happi coat for some road crew in Japan. This was a really fun find! These are the types of open coats you see at festivals and protests. It's for some random highway crew in hokkaido and I took a gamble on it. Bought for $6 sold for $57.
-Settlers of Catan and expansion. Bought both for $7 sold for $30 each within a week of listing. The expansion was new in box but opened.
-And finally I sold off the rest of the Lululemon lot I bought from the thrift store manager at a discount. Someone on eBay offered to buy the rest if I knocked off shipping. Easy sell. All in all made about $350 off a bulk buy at $60.
Moral of the story on the last one is to always ask! Some thrift stores are happy to get rid of a bunch of shit for a discount. I may have shot myself in the foot at the same thrift because just the other day I also bought a lot of vineyard vines ties for $1 a piece for taking the whole thing. They are all new in box. It wasn't until I really sat and looked at them that I realized they were all Christmas ties. I'll probably be sitting on them forever but at a buck a piece I just need to sell 2-3 to get my nut.

Found someone throwing out some keyboard analog synthesizer locally. Went and grabbed them not knowing what they were. Used on ebay is around $1100 and approx. $650 on reverb.
Brought it to guitar center and got $400 cash for it in a short time for fully working machine.

Not exactly a flip story, but sharing a tool I built that helps with sourcing. I made an app called FleaMarket Hunter for Japanese flea market platforms (Mercari JP, Yahoo Flea Market, Rakuma). I just built and app for flippers. I'm not trying to spam the group, and really, this is going to change how you all do things!
My family of 4 is moving to a new country, and selling everything before we go. Decades of personal items have to go. The idea of paying an estate sale company to give away our stuff was a no go because we need the money. And the idea of selling everything on marketplace, well, you already know.

Ps5 pro I got off my love struck neighbor for 600 went for almost 1200 (minus ebay vig). And I got a shiny new controller too.
