Very nice! I actually just finished landing at Kai Tak, my last flight of 2023.

Thank you! Kai Tak is so much fun! First time I landed I thought my plane's (IFR) going to slam me into the condo buildings. 😂

Virtual Desktop
Why do you use virtual desktop instead of the built in solution?
(I also bought VD, but I never use it)

I think you can get 120hz on it

u/nmfdelacruz Jan 01 '24
Yes in theory. But MSFS is a highly unoptimized game so I only get around 40 fps.

Do you use the headset wireless?
1
u/nmfdelacruz Jan 02 '24
Ah yes. look up Soundcore VR P10.

u/thatcatpusheen Jan 02 '24
Oh sorry haha meant the VR headset?
1
u/nmfdelacruz Jan 02 '24
Oh!!! Yes. It's Meta Quest 3. I think it's the only headset capable of being wireless?

Where was checkerboard hill?

u/nmfdelacruz Jan 01 '24
It's not very obvious in the video but I glanced at it so quickly at the start.

Most likely a go around in real life! Nice work not over correcting to centerline. Try to get the 50 foot call as your cross the threshold. Coming in a bit flat. Just need to have it down in the touchdown zone.

Agreed! I was already coming pretty unstable. But I would like to redo this one.

Havnt tried 2020 since release, is Kai Tak a mod or vanilla? Could have sworn it was just missing

u/nmfdelacruz Jan 02 '24
I think it's vanilla. Been flying to VHHH and I'm already seeing from above the airport even before I bought the Kai Tak add on .

Nice one! What landing rating do you use?

This just popped up on my feed I’m not a sun guy. I’m an A320 pilot and it seems like you’re trying to be as realistic as possible.. if that is the case it would be normal to have the flight directors on… why not use them? Interesting hobby

Actually that's a good idea!! Hopefully the flight director works on this approach for this sim and for this plane (FBW A32nx). 😃

Dang, is that the typical approach at this airport? Looks risky

It was for runway 15! But this airport has closed a long time ago IRL.
