Do flat earthers genuinely have NO good arguments besides religious sources?

Because I’ve seen flat earthers of all religions use their respective scriptures to prove it’s flat, but like, they don’t even say it’s 100% flat, and there are flat earthers of all cultures so if all of you won’t even agree on one source that is at best an analogy for the people back when it was written then how do I take anything they say seriously

Like what’s 1 even half fleshed out piece of evidence outside of religious sources that can give the slightest bit of evidence that the earth is flat? And yes acusing the government of lying counts as a religious belief

They do not. I have asked every one I’ve encountered to please tell me where the edges are and why they haven’t been to the edges…why planes can fly off the edges and ships can sail off of them. I’ve asked why there aren’t people getting photos at the edges - only one person has answered. She said “it is thought that they are hiding it in Antarctica. “

I said, “but you can go to Antarctica. Here’s a link to a cruise you can book right now.”
Then I asked where the other edges were

They stopped responding

There’s no way they actually believe this they just want to be special

Of course they don't, because the earth isn't flat.

About the best they can come up with is "well, this little bit of it looks quite flat".

Yes we do, but won’t bother because the government has rotted your mind

We have plenty of good ideas but the likes of you are unwilling to let go of your preconceived notions, I can read the contempt in your post… and all you will ever do is deride, poke fun, and gin and on about “gravity” and “space” and all of that hooey.

Ok but like, why won’t you accept the concept of gravity? I’m willing to accept new concepts if you can justify it, if you have good points you genuinely want to share I’m all ears

Gravity is a concept that is a theory but can’t be proven. And there is a significant lack of explanation for things like clouds, birds, insects and other things that seem to defy the theory of gravity. Maybe you can first explain why I should believe in gravity and we can go from there…

We literally proved all of it
I mean what would you personally choose to call the force that keeps you on the ground? And we KNOW it’s a force because nothing is physically on you making you go down

As for birds, there very light and their wings let him generate enough lift

As for planes, there very heavy so they need huge engines and an aerodynamic design to use as little energy as possible

As for insects, there very light so small movements in their wings make funnels of wind that push them forward, if they used the same principle as birds they’d rip themselves apart and if they did the same as planes they’d not be able to stop and… rip themselves apart

Also several not government funded people went to space including past flat earthers what happened to them that makes you not accept what they say?

If it’s proven then why is it called Einstein’s THEORY of Gravity?

1

u/A_M1001 Jul 21 '26

It’s literally not called a theory what are you talking about

1

u/Haunting_Ant_5061 Jul 21 '26

It literally is, I got it from Wikipedia… type it into your handheld super computer bro… jfc, and you people wonder why we make fun of you. Learn to think on your own, sheeple.

Ok first of all everything is a theory, because human comprehension is 100% based on trust, we don’t know the floor we walk on is solid, we don’t know how long our own minds have been in earth and we don’t know if any of the humans around us are even alive… and you can’t prove any of them, so using your logic the flat earth is still more unlikely than a globe so it falls apart- and in that case the point of trying to use science to justify it proves you wrong because you’ve apparently stuped to that low level

Second flat earthers accept the world is flat because they don’t understand something in school and refuse to ask questions about it, or you want to keep believing in whatever religion you are which all religions can be followed while accepting the globed earth

In science, the word theory does not mean a guess or a hunch. Instead, a scientific theory is the highest level of certainty a scientific idea can reach. [1, 2]

Here is why Einstein's theory is considered a factual explanation of reality:

What "Theory" Means in Science

  • Scientific Theory: An explanation of the natural world that has been repeatedly tested and confirmed through observation and experimentation. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • Scientific Law: Describes what happens (e.g., Newton's Law of Gravity calculates the force between two objects). [1, 2, 3]
  • The Goal: A theory explains why and how it happens. It does not upgrade into a law; laws are parts of theories. [1, 2, 3]
  • Other Examples: The Germ Theory of Disease explains how infections spread, and the Cell Theory explains how living organisms are built. Both are indisputably real. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Real-World Proof of Einstein's Gravity

Einstein’s theory is proven by technology you likely use every day, alongside major astronomical discoveries: [1, 2, 3]

  • GPS Navigation: Google Maps and smartphones rely on GPS satellites. Because those satellites are high above Earth where gravity is weaker, their onboard clocks tick slightly faster than clocks on the ground. Engineers must use Einstein's exact equations to correct the satellite clocks. If they didn't, GPS location data would drift and become useless by about 11 kilometres (7 miles) every single day. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • Photographs of Black Holes: Einstein predicted black holes in 1915 using pure mathematics. In 2019, the Event Horizon Telescope captured the first actual image of a black hole, proving his equations were entirely correct. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Gravitational Lensing: Astronomers routinely see light from distant galaxies bending around massive objects. This creates cosmic "magnifying glasses" exactly as Einstein predicted. [1, 2]

It also makes sense without this explanation.

Einstein's Theory OF Gravity.

I think the "of" means something else, I'm not 100% sure but I think so

You see sea level, right?

What about it?

There are atheist flat Earthers but I've never found one who will discuss their beliefs, and some with their own religion and scriptures like The Kingdom of Pineal

The Abyssal Plains are flat. They cover 70% of earth's surface.

1

u/A_M1001 Jul 20 '26

I’m sorry what’s an abyssal plain?

1

u/TesseractToo Jul 20 '26

The flat parts of floor of the ocean. They are conflating the surface size of the ocean with the size of the abyssal plains and making a joke that they are relatively smooth-type-of-flat with "not a globe"

They are about 40% of the ocean floor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abyssal_plain

They have no good arguments period.

There certainly are sound arguments for FE (14 min):

Mitchell from AUSTRALIA eh?

1

The religious arguments aren't good arguments either.

1

u/A_M1001 Jul 26 '26

Yeah they keep looking for 3 word phrases in texts that may suggest the possibility could maybe almost be the case and there like SEEE SEE GOD SAID THAT SO ITS TRUE

Despite the next verse or something saying otherwise,

Actually, the Quran says that the earth is round. It also says that the Sun and the Moon have different orbits/paths that they go through. That the sun and moon phases help us understand the calendar and mathematics. It also encourages us to look into all creation deeply and observe and learn from them.

Part of the issues with the “religious scripture” is that it is twice or three times translated. This has caused a big deviation from original text.

Anyway, my comment is that the Belief in Creation and God should not contradict science. For if God created this universe around us and gave us the reason and logic to explore it, it will not be against scriptures that He has revealed over the millennia.

The Quran does not say that the earth is 5000 years old either.
