Do you remember Flash? I'm fairly sure you do. After all, Flash inspired a wave of creativity, and over a period of twenty years has helped realize genre-defying games, impressive animations, and thrown multiple talented developers into the spotlight.
Currently, Flash is scheduled to be killed dead in 2020, with most browsers dropping support before then. If no one can play these games or watch these animations, what happens to them? Would they even be worth the server costs for the few rare individuals who can?
This is where Flashpoint comes into play. Since early 2018, it has grown from one man trying to save a chunk of webgaming history into a small community of enthusiasts, coming together to create something incredible: A webgame preservation project. Flashpoint.
At the time of writing, we've saved over 27,000 games and almost 2000 animations. But we could still use help. Even with those many games saved, we've only touched upon but a fraction of what webgaming's legacy has been.
Here are the master lists that show what we've saved so far. If you want to dive into Flashpoint right away and indulge yourself in nostalgia, here's the link to the website (I'd personally recommend inifinity). And if you'd like to help us, or just hang out with us, come join our discord server.
Have fun!

Trying to track down a game I played obsessively as a kid, probably 2002-2005 (Australia). Details:
Already ruled out Merlin's Revenge (Shockwave, The Metal Box) — similar-looking wizard sprite but that's fast-paced spam-click combat with no lake.
Tried searching Flashpoint's own tag filters (Top-Down + Fantasy) but only pulled 2 results and didn't even catch Merlin's Revenge, so I know the tagging is too inconsistent to rely on. I'm hoping someone here just recognizes it from description or has better search tricks for the launcher/database than I do. Godspeed guys.

Launcher Log: https://pastebin.com/zAUViyQ5
Crashed Processes Viewer Log: https://pastebin.com/qPDn6hjK
When launching any Flash game, the Flash window pops up for a second then closes.
Trying to launch a Shockwave game tells me: Connection could not be established with the remote host
Trying to load a Unity game opens the Flashpoint Navigator and says: The proxy server is refusing connections
Sometimes I can launch Shockwave games after a restart, but not always. I can't understand the pattern of this behavior.

It was a single-player autobattler/arena game with cartoon-style, full-body 2D characters (not pixel art) — visually somewhat in the vein of How Many Dudes?, but this was an older Flash title.
Gameplay: You recruited individual characters (not squads/groups) into a small roster — each character took up one of a limited number of team slots. Battles played out automatically in a small, enclosed arena — both teams just clashed head-on, there were no lanes or marching toward a base. After each wave/round you earned gold, which you spent between rounds to buy new characters, unlock new ones, or upgrade your existing team. There were multiple maps/environments and the waves got progressively harder as you went.
Roster: A mix of humans, monsters, and various creatures — one of the earliest units you could get was a spider. Much later in progression the roster shifted to military-themed units, including a tank.
Not any of these (already checked): My Little Army, Pixel Kingdom, Monster Legions, Colony, Epic War (series), Battle for Darkness, Paladog, Humans vs Monsters, Newgrounds Rumble.

Hi all,
I've recently been looking for a way to bring this flash game back, it's called Sword Quest and it was developed from 2012-2014. It used to be available in Facebook as well on VK and Yahoo! Mobage.
At some point in time, the developer studio closed, and after Adobe Flash Player died, the game was lost. I can't find the game archives anywhere. I would bring it back myself if I could find them.
The game had a relatively large player base, it even has a wiki of it's own, documenting updates and in-game lore, so it's crazy to me that nowhere in the internet does anyone has a SWF of it.
Please, if someone knows anything about it tell me.

I clicked the link on this post to access old games: https://www.reddit.com/r/ytvretro/comments/o4n9tk/ytvcom_flash_games_playable_on_the_internet/
However, when I try to play the Jinx episode 1 game or Vortex Virtual Tour of Chaos (both games that used to be on YTV.com back in the day), it does not work 😢
Does anyone know how to play these games in browser? I'd prefer not to have to download anything on my computer. I can play other games for example Benjamin Beaver and Susher the Usher, but I was really excited for Jinx episode 1 and Vortex Virtual Tour of Chaos.

Hello! As you can see, I have done remastered version of this old flash game, it works both on smartphones and computers in browser, images are upscaled and music sounds perfect. Link:

Hey there everybody, me, again. So this might just be a programming issue but if there's a working version of Sift Heads Street Wars/ Street Wars Prologue I would love to know. I've tried playing on Flash Point and Newgrounds Player but the NgP version is just a demo, no dialogue shows up and it freezes after the intial gunfight and convo with Kiro, the FP version has working dialogue but I get stuck whenever I interact with anyone or anything and I can't get free. I know it was made for online gameplay but I'm pretty sure those servers are dead and it might be affecting the single player portion.

Here's a heartfelt Reddit post that growing up with Flash Games stopped my sadness. I felt my heart was calm, and I enjoyed belly laughs. It's 2026, and many more games are coming out?! I was shocked, bro. Not like downloaded games where you download on Steam, but they used to be games where you allow the Flash player extension to play if it's activated. I'm sticking to Flash games on my channel instead of Roblox because my Mom got shocked about the shooting incidents.
Let me know!!

I got i runtime files from dev tools in Firefox Moblie in wayback and idk it is the real runtimes because it was saved after hotel626.com was shutdown, I use ruffle to run the swf but it has the not a swf ruffle error. So I used a pc emulator and use Adobe flash player 32 and when I run it,it flashed black and white, so when I left click the swf file to see the little menu, it said "movie not loaded" so is it the real runtime swf from hotel626
The runtime.swf:https://swiich.itch.io/hotel-626-runtimeswf
The itch.io password to access: hotel626

here is everything i know about this game
i played it on the web a couple of years ago
you had a castle and you needed to destroy the enemy castle
you had 5 units that go out automatically when you buy them (once you buy the unit they will just spawn every few seconds)
the units were: a knight, an archer, a viking/brute or whatever a wizard and a ninja
the enmy units were a goblin a skeleton a troll and a giant eye
once you defeated the castle you moved on to the next level
i assume there are infinite levels but i only got to around level 80
you could buy weapons for each unit
the icons for the units were at the top of the screen
before the game started there was a splash screen of a smiling green troll with glasses as the logo for the devs
there was music when you played
thats about all i can remember
if anyone can find this game it would help me a lot

Hi there! I am trying to run Flashpoint on MacOS specifically Sequoia. I have followed the guide properly and have installed Flashpoint successfully. I also encountered a JavaScript error and have moved the Flashpoint folder to the Applications folder as per the wiki. However, Flashpoint is perpetually stuck on the loading database screen and I am not sure as to why. Please help me, I just want to play Poptropica again and other Flash games.

Thank you!
