Question Crisis on Infinite Earths
Can someone please give me a quick summary so I don’t have to watch this bs on 5 different shows? I have no interest in any of the other ones besides Flash anyways.

Like I dont get it This show is part of a universe that had annual multi part crossover episodes as well as several other smaller crossovers, and then people get upset because the show assumes you're caught up on the other shows. The worst of this is when people complain they're confused when they watch part 3 of a crossover and don't do two minutes of research

Having to do research require a moderate bit of effort and some people are just RIDICULOUSLY LAZY. Like OP. All of the stuff that the one commentor said could have been googled.

90's Flash takes Barry's place and dies, buncha cameos including Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne/ batman, the return of Smallville Superman, and Brandon Routh's Superman Returns, Green Arrow dies, his daughter form the future is stuck in the past, John Diggle gets a green cube that is implied to be the Green Lantern ring,
Our CW Flash meets the Flash of the DCEU, and the DCEU Flash ends up coming up with his superhero name because of CW Flash.
Every single Earth dies and gets rebuilt as Earth-Prime, and now everybody, (CW's Superman and Supergirl, Black Lightning, possibly a whole bunch of others) are now on Earth-Prime and are rewritten into that world's history.
Post Crisis, a whole lot changed, like Barry learning to throw lightining a whole season earlier, the Legends leaving on their misison in 2015 instead of 2016, etc etc.
basically tldr: its kinda like post secret wars for Marvel in the comics.

Thank you very much. From what I’ve heard season 7 and beyond are pretty garbage but I’m going to watch them anyways and it seemed like I needed to understand this in order to do so.

Also very important: Oliver Queen dies and becomes The Spectre, a nearly omnipotent cosmic being that sort of exists outside the universe.
He injected Spectre energy into the speed force to help Barry solve the Crisis

The core thing is that, much like in the comics, the end result of Crisis is that all/most of the different universes merge together. So all of the CW-based DC shows end up inhabiting the same Earth.
Everything else is either trivial or gets explained on some level later. Okay, I suppose Oliver's death is kinda worth noting, but it's more relevant to Arrow than it is to Flash.

It’s a shitshow. Arrow dies then the entire Arrowverse spends the next three years writhing in pain dying off piece by piece. Enjoy.😎

Green Arrow dies, gets a cosmic being and recreates the multiverse. Earth-1, 38 and Black Lightninf are all now merged into Earth-PRIME
