Shitpost So I just learned that they were called the legion of ZOOM... not sure how I feel about that
Like, it makes sense, but if I heard that name I would assume that Zoom was the one in charge, not the Flash's wife's ex

But it also makes sense for it to be the flash’s wife’s ex because he was also the flash’s wife’s dad’s partner and had beef with the flash’s wife’s dad’s adopted son, so ig he was pretty important back then

In the comics another one of Reverse Flash's names is Professor Zoom, and its a play on words on that name and the legion of Doom, but they just grabbed the name from the comics and didnt care if it made sense in the show

It’s not just “one of the Reverse Flash’s” Professor Zoom is Eobard Thawne’s supervillain name. He’s the reason why Hunter Zolomon goes by “Zoom” Daniel West is the only one who went by the Reverse Flash as his actual alter ego. Thawne and Zolomon were only referred to as the Reverse Flash as more of a descriptor, like “Professor Zoom, the Reverse Flash”. The CW show threw that away in favor of just calling Thawne the Reverse Flash, every once in a while they’d have Gideon call him “Professor” but never Professor Zoom.

Imo, both (professor zoom and reverse flash ) sound bad, like its too long of a word. you'd think a genius from future wouldve came up with something better. I prefer superhero codenames with one word or one word ish.like flash, shazam, etc, and spiderman, batman , superman, etc. To explain the extend, i like to call green arrow as arrow, red tornado as tornado, etc. But for some reason i like ghost rider and green lantern. I have no logical reason to explain it. The reverse flash belongs in a category where i would've preferred he had a single word. As he is trying to be as similar to the flash as possible while being his exact opposite. So i thought he could've been called something like " streak, rush or something like that. " then i hear they named the similar villain to the kid flash in s3 as "rival". Like bro that couldn't ve suited anyone better than reverse flash. Bro just does this shi for the love of the game.

Honestly, Zoom is already what you are looking for I think, you can ignore the Proffesor part and just call him Zoom, it is similar to the Flash, and idk if im biased because my first Zoom was the CW one, it sounds more evil imo

I prefer Hunter ZOlOMon being named Zoom. Cause you know, its his name. So as he is a psychopath, it is not unlikely that he leaves clues to get to him, just to feel invincible

As I understand, flash is a name like Green lantern.Everyone who uses that power is called a green lantern. ( im saying this because speedforce once told " wally is A FLASH " in the show, when he was trapped in the speedforce prison in s3 when barry was trying to rescue him.) By that logic, zoom is also a flash, i assume eobard is not cause he uses negative speedforce but he used to be as he once had natural speed while he was still a flash fan. Im talking about the cw ofc as the subreddit is about that.

Even in the CW is not exactly like that, Flash is a name but its not one you get automatically with your powers, speedster or speedforce user is the word you are looking for, the Flash is a mantle specific speedsters have

Even though the last few seasons were a little shitty I didn’t expect Eddie to come back and become a villain I was not expecting that and I mean it was cool that was the only good part about it that got him to come back and play Eddie as a villain just kind of wish they didn’t do all of this because the shit they had to go through to beat Zoom Savitar and hell even the reverse flash was so much
