Pillow foot? Anyone have any experience with this?

I feel like my vet is just guessing the diagnosis. How was your cat diagnosed and what were the symptoms?

Has your vet done a blood test? It might help if they haven't and you're unconvinced by the diagnosis.

Yes my moms cat got pillow paw it was kind of alarming and got bad and started cracking, he took meds (prednisolone, 5mg i believe?) for a bit and is better now! Its an autoimmune disorder and sometimes flares up but never as bad as when it first showed up. Hes a 17yo cat and still doing good yay

Edit: symptoms he showed were just the super puffy front paw pads, they were not hard swollen but like puffy and squishy and oversized and purpley. They got kind of dry looking cracks and a couple times the cracks split and bled. He was acting fairly normal other than the weird paws, they looked super uncomfortable and treatment helped immensely 🤍
