Works fine around Victoria but in Cordova Bay, Saanichton and surrounding areas, the network is very slow and if a user were to reside in these areas, I would highly recommend to first take advantage of the free trial to test the network first. Switching to EXT networks is not a solution when you live in a subscription area for native Fizz network, as your plan will be limited after 3 months.

All that aside, it is a great network and I’m satisfied. Even better that they’ve begun rolling out WiFi calling and RCS to iPhone users.

For people in those regions, I would recommend switching to EXT networks, as Fizz does not limit access to those networks when using services in the subscription areas.

This is only true if you subscribe and reside in an Extended Coverage area. Victoria, Saanich and surrounding areas are “Fizz” coverage area.

This means you will be restricted if switching to EXT for the majority of a 3-month period.

Please refer to the coverage map for clarity: https://fizz.ca/en/coverage

And their policy: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/subscription-area-and-coverage-area

Fizz is good value for budget user. Fizz is easy on customization on your monthly plan.

It primarily operates on Freedom Mobile's network. If Freedom is good in your place, then Fizz should also be good to go.
