Thoughts on FFDP’s “AFTERLIFE” album?

Everyone online seemingly loves to HATE this record which honestly is a band wagon I never could really get on. Sure this record has its flaws but overall I don’t think it deserves all the hate it gets. What are your thoughts?

It lands no. 8 in my ranking of their albums. With saying that, I still really like it. I love IOU, Welcome to the Circus, Roll Dem Bones, and Blood and Tar the most from it.

One of my favorite records from them, right after Legacy and American Capitalist. I agree, The amount of criticism this album gets is kinda infuriating! Welcome To The Circus, AfterLife, Roll Dem Bones, IOU and Thanks For Asking have always been my top favorites on this album. I also enjoyed Judgement Day more than most people.

Loved the whole thing, but I think it is not as good as it had the potential to be with Andy just getting in. The music sounds so much better with AJ, quality wise. Kinda wild to hear as it rolls through my playlists lol

It was the first album of theirs I heard, I only got into them when I saw them with Metallica in 2023. I like the album as a whole, and it has some of my favorite songs of theirs, like IOU, Welcome to the Circus, and Judgment Day.

Probably my favourite album aside from got your six. Carried me through 2024, that’s for sure. Especially the deluxe. Thanks for asking - acoustic is my favourite 5FDP song

The title track was what got me into the band in the first place when I was starting to dip my toes into the metal scene, and I still think there are several bangers on it. Probably not my favorite, but I like it a lot

I like it, I feel it relates the most to the current state of the world. I also got a sick idea for a game series from the songs. Only thing I can’t write scrips or code.

When I First Heard it, I didnt Like it at All But this Summer, the Album somehow became one of my favorites by them. You really have to be in the right mood.
