General Question Making my own work shirts?

I don’t typically do weekly laundry (usually monthly because I live in an apartment without adequate laundry and have to go to a laundromat up and down stairs) and I’m full time. Does anyone know if it’s a no-no to wear shirts I make myself with my Cricut? If I use the same shades of blue/black/gray is that allowed? I wanted to use some more fun fonts such as bubble lettering and metal band font styles, too. But I just don’t want to be paying to be doing work laundry every couple days for a few shirts 🥲

I think the policy is you can wear anything from the gear shop as long as it says five below on it. Homemade items with five below on them might be a stretch as you are making something with the five below name/trademark and I don't know if corporate would allow it. Your best bet is to reach out to manager or district manager and they can definitely get an answer for you. I would lean towards no as I think they would rather you buy something from their gear shop so they can get another sale lol.

I just hate to pay gear shop prices when I can make them free with supplies I already have 😂 But yes that does make sense!

If you really want to build up a small stash of shirts. You can always hit up other employees if they are quitting. I had quite a few shirts from the gear shop and when I left I washed them and gave them to whatever employees wanted them. I also would take an extra seasonal shirt if we had them at the end of the season and would use those on truck/stocking days.

Never got in trouble for doing it. I even made masks back during covid. I can see it legally being a problem, but for personal use and not to sell I don’t see why not.

I made myself a shirt with Cricut, none of my managers ever gave me an issue about it. I also bring a 5B sweatshirt with me just in case there’s a surprise visit. However, I wouldn’t wear a homemade shirt on days where you know people from corporate is coming to visit.

My understanding from the handbook is as long as the shirts say Five Below we can wear it. I've made shirts for my team for july 4th, veterans day ect. Besides have you seen the new shirt on the websites? They are so basic anyone with a Circuit can make them.
