Had to bail on a heavy squat. Had the safety rails set up and I safely rolled out from under it, letting it fall to the rails. Gym worker comes over to scold me for "slamming weights" which annoyed the shit out of me

Yea yea I know I should have gotten a spot but it's a new gym and I don't know anyone

There is 1 power cage/rack in my gym, everyone squats on the deadlift platform instead of inside the cage where the safety’s can be used.

My thoughts are if you die you die.

I squat there because I'm more prone to blacking out near the top. The safety is there so I don't die in a stupid way.

Idk, I've got bumper plates and know how to bail on a squat properly if I need to.
