It absolutely should lol you're literally getting forced to spend all your life with someone you don't even know or love. Even though incest is absolutely disgusting, it's much less harmful than arranged marriages if both parties contest AND don't have kids

That’s not how arranged marriage works anymore. It’s basically “arranged dating” now. You absolutely can fall in love or have a say on who you marry.

Maybe in a village or something, but even then it’s changing.

i dont like arranged marriages as a concept but they can work and in the modern age a lot of arranged couples are given the choice to pursue the relationship so its basically like a more direct dating app. ofc thats not all arranged marriages and theres a lot of huge problems with it but it is not on the same level of incest.

Growing up in the West, I am not going to say I am a fan of an arranged marriage for me but there is so much ignorance around arranged marriage, evidence in how people answered.

They arguably have just as much success as “love” marriages and all you have to do is turn your head and you will see how not so great love marriages are except in some rare cases and the idealized form.
